Block by thedreamer with his 19th Kano block! We are only 3.5 hours into the new day and we have 3 blocks already! Along with the fantastic block performance this month here at Kano I got some great news today...my bad S9 hashboard has been repaired and it has been happily hashing away along with the other two boards for the past 3.5 hours. It is so sweet to see this S9 Batch 3 hashing right at spec with 12.9THs and a HW error rate of only 0.0004%! The temps are perfect at 57/89 out in Toomim-land! Life is good! That's a pretty fast turn around for bitmain. Did you have to send it to China? I was trying to decide between sending it to China for warranty repair or to Denver for non-warranty repair so I asked Jonathan Toomim to pull the board and check for burn marks. If there were any I was going to just have him send it to Denver and pay for the repair. When he pulled the board, he immediately saw a loose component that actually fell off the board into his hand. It was a pair of cold solder joints that were just not done correctly. I decided to take a chance and gave Jonathan permission to solder it back on; a couple of minutes later and the board was back in business. It's been running perfectly for about 16 hours now. https://i.imgur.com/ISoluKA.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/bQvB2Js.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/VpELWey.jpgNice job by 1H2BNM at the top of the Pool Stats list with his 1st Kano block! I have only heard good things about Toomim hosting but that's five star service right there. Yes, I saved 2 weeks...maybe 3 weeks worth of hashing that I would have lost if I had actually sent that board back to China. Jonathan Toomim is my hero and they always go above and beyond "standard" service! What is the denver website? Im interested on this too, thanks

Despite the name they do non-warranty repairs for a fee. I had them fix an S7 board that wouldn't hash due to a temp sensor problem. Cost $100 and had it back in about a week including shipping both ways.

Darn summer thunderstorms! Major heat during the day erupts late afternoon, early evening and an electric monsoon ensues.
My power was out yesterday from mid-afternoon until almost 10 last night.
Luckily, I had a small rental still running to more than make up for my lost hash.
Now the storms are back with a vengeance and it's supposed to linger all night. I've unplugged all my gear and trying to get an over-night rental going before my power goes out again. It's been flickering. Just waiting for a block to clear my deposit.
Love this lucky streak we're having!!
Let's keep it up! More GREEN!

yeah - I was wondering too https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0112.mediawikiThis BIP describes a new opcode (CHECKSEQUENCEVERIFY) for the Bitcoin scripting system that in combination with BIP 68 allows execution pathways of a script to be restricted based on the age of the output being spent. By making the nSequence field accessible to script, it becomes possible to construct code pathways that only become accessible some minimum time after proof-of-publication. This enables a wide variety of applications in phased protocols such as escrow, payment channels, or bidirectional pegs. Looks like the thin edge of the wedge in Core/Blockstream plan. Seems they need this to enable the other changes they are pushing. What is this "CSV soft fork" ? The only fork I know currently is the other coin ... that shall not be named

WOW -- great looking dashboard! Also looking very good that many new miners are hitting blocks - it just to show that our pool is working like clockwork and not dependent on only big iron to churn out the blocks... 45PH is timely before halving - we need all the hash power we can get to mine Mount BTC. I have been MIA lately due to another project which is nearly completed. Project Summer Juvia will be online soon

Having network problems with the DK node dropping off and then appearing again 2-5 minutes later. 3 times in the last half hour. Looks like they're about to become another statistic and I'll move that server to a Vultr Amsterdam server too ... been looking for any excuse to do that Awaiting a response from them as to why ...

DK node is still playing up - has a few times since then. Their reply was that it's an upstream connection. Well that's all fine and good, except they make a big deal of advertising how they own all their network ... so they should be able to contact an upstream provider and get some results ... ... If it continues for much longer I'll redirect DK to DE and then look into the Amsterdam option ...
