Having problem moving BTC from one address.

Been mining to one address before the fork and it has 770 small transactions totaling about 5.2 BTC. When I tried to transfer the BTC to another address (to use the private key for BCC) Armory tells me there are too many transactions and doesn't allow. Only if I lower the transaction to 0.12 BTC am I allowed and then it wants to charge a high fee. I can override the fee and just pay 0.001 BTC and these go through, but even at this lower fee it will take over 30 transactions to transfer everything out (assuming the cutoff doesn't keep going down) and will cost over $100.

I tried Electrum, but when I import the private key it appears to be processing forever and never finishes (waited once for over 4 hours). Seems to stop responding.

Kano, or anyone else, have you seen this problem and know how to resolve?

Hot time, summer in the city, back of my mine getting hot & gritty!!!

Why doesn't anyone use the Standard Bitcoin Core?

I've never heard of Bitcoin-QT limiting the amount of Bitcoin you could transfer, it seems it would make it difficult to buy something.  I do believe your stuck with paying a high fee though.

Though ... that's exactly the same as saying:
Trezor and Ledger Wallet doesn't have support for Bitcoin Core Tongue

Another short network block - 86 seconds - so not much Tx fees - but the block was almost full Sad

With fees dropping, I decided to move some coins around and sent a transaction with a 0.5 sat/B fee. I'm concerned it won't get confirmed.  I sent the transactions with RBF enabled, but I didn't save the transaction in Electrum. What are my options if it doesn't get confirmed?

After 24 hours my original transaction seemed to disappear from my wallet, so I ended sending out the transaction again with a 4 Satoshi/Byte fee and it confirmed within an hour.  This ended up being a double spend because my original transactions still persisted in the mempool, and there was even a double spend warning in the block explorer I use, which is a nice touch. I believe I could have waited 72 hours and the nodes would drop the original low fee transaction from the mempool, but I didn't want to wait that long.

On another note, I'm finished dumping all my BCH for free BTC!

How many confirms are needed to occur before the block is paid out?  I remember last year it was about 3-5 confirms...is it the same now?

I sold my bcc off. And turned it into btc.

I was about to, but it looks like they have some more hash now and blocks are coming in faster.  Someone with deep pockets is trying to prop them up (guessing bitmain).  Next step is probably to buy up some BCH so want to wait for better price.

Kano or anyone who might know can you please tell me if buying an Open Box Ledger Nano S is secure thing to do?  Because I bought one couple of days ago and it said new in the description but now the guy tells me that he opened the box to take some pictures of it!  I think when I was setting up my old Ledger wallet it let me pick from 2 options, one was setting up a new wallet and another was to recuperate an existing wallet so he couldn't have done anything to save something in order to access it later on could he? Huh

Thanks!

I believe that there is a signature mechanism between the Ledger Nano S and the Ledger Wallet Chrome App, so it would be very hard to fake the Ledger Nano S hardware and firmware.

Edit: Found it! It's called Attestation. https://blog.ledger.co/how-to-protect-hardware-wallets-against-tampering-cad35cb72c1

You could also open it up and verify the hardware's integrity per these instructions https://ledger.groovehq.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-verify-the-security-integrity-of-my-nano-s

Thank you very much for the info my colleague friend!!!!  Smiley.  Because I couldn't find that info!  Undecided.  I will definitely inspect it when it arrives, although I already found a guy that wants to sell me a sealed one but I will still check it because it isn't from the factory.  The one from the factory the French will only ship out to me the 4th of September.

Thanks again!  Smiley

Yep - that's when I send out the transaction - though it's called 101, but it's 100 blocks after it first gets in a block.
Well to be exact also, it's 60seconds after that block, it sees the block then waits 60 seconds then sends the transaction.
The last one, yet again, was confirmed thanks to the $1 fee, 40 mins ago Cheesy
