I actually have 2 running but I'm cautious to run the majority of the rest of mine primarily because it is the beginning of spring time here and I haven't found a viable solution to combat the massive pollen in the air right now. I understand that I'll obviously still make money if I continue to mine daily if BTC goes back up, its just I'd rather see where things go with the market before I put some time on the newer miners that I have.

How high is your electric rate?  I'm at 9.6 cents/kw and I'm still making money.  Can you not put in some Merv 3 filters to deal with the pollen without adding too much backpressure?

or buy this for each rig Wink

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Doing the math here, I think I'll even be ok during summer pricing, which goes just over 12 cents/kWh.

Although, I have been wondering about the peak pricing option. Not worrying about it now, because I don't have enough machines yet, but if I had considerably more would it be beneficial to switch to the peak pricing and then shut down for five hours M - F. That's 25 hours of downtime out of 168 hours, skips 30+ cents/kWh and runs during off-peak for lower 7 cents/kWh.

If I ran straight through, the average would be about 12.05 cents/kWh. Less than the normal pricing by about .5 cents.

I for one hope we and most other pools *never* support Halongitosis's odious BDPL version of AB. All that does is reward a company that has shown near zero business transparency and ethics. To those who bought in on their spiel without knowing it only works on 2 pools because Halong deliberately withheld that critical bit of info -- bitch at them but do NOT expect the world to bend to their will.

The 1 good thing they have done is actually deliver a miner. So far they are barely within their advertised spec but at least are being delivered.

It's a bit unfair on those that bought the miners - in November, for the grand price of 0.2BTC (USD2000) each (MOQ: 5) for April delivery ...

Tough noogies. They were warned from day-1 by me and others in the Halong thread about their lack of business transparency and ethics and yet still chose to throw money at Halong. You reap what you sow.

The good part is that I am seeing a lot of folks selling their T1's at close to the same USD they paid back then. Dollar wise it may be a wash but - if they bought them with BTC and now sell them for BTC then they will 'earn' more BTC than they spent. After BTC prices come back up that is a very nice Windfall for them.

Everything said about Halong is accurate, but I am glad there are alternatives to the Big 2 (Canaan&Bitmain). Going forward I believe adaption of AB will continue and they will be a strong competitor. I am one of those that got "suckered" but can think of worse scenarios.

So Kano, get on their ass about sending you a demo unit for testing! I want to bring my dragons home....

Better idea (also what kano already said) - someone that already has one needs to let kano use it if they want to mine here.

Way OT here... Ask in the Halong thread where folks care...

Not that far OT, question has to do with bringing more hashing power to the pool.

I may be mistaken, but I think the only people that made the offer actually mine at Kano Pool. If someone that's already mining here has a DM in hand and hasn't stepped up, it's their own fault they can't use it on this pool.

Now, let's crack another BTClock!

Not to start anything with you, I’ve seen you be very rude to people that do not share your thoughts... But if a new technology is available and can be tested why are you so angry about that. I do not own one but I care how they operate as it affects my ability to mine in the future.

Okay, the block just announced on the IOS App (block 517871) was from the solo CKPool and not here.  Don't be confused by it Smiley

Still haven't got a ship notice on my Dragon. I only ordered after it was confirmed to be real, so who knows when they'll ship it. I will happily point it to a kano test pool, even if that means tricking DNS into thinking that kano.is is ckpool or slush. However, have to receive it first. I can also give Kano a VPN account so he can connect to it and tweak it if needed.
