We all do with what we have. I'd hate to see someone step away, but at some point you gotta do with what you have.
I have no doubt there will be people renting a great deal of hash to win this avalon. Nicehash should pay a sponsorship for a double avalon give away. I don't think Kano would want nice hash to sponsor the pool though?
I think rentals are fair game, and I'm sure Kano is watching out for funny business.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

WOW!! Hey, you guys can back it down a bit. OK? I did not intend to create some sort of English class, nor any kind of controversy. It was just a very simple statement. Hey all, I really need to get lucky and hit for that Avalon or I may be out of mining for BTC. My 2 little S3+'s just aren't paying the electric bill any longer. I hate to have to leave and can't afford to upgrade to an S7. Once those came on-line, my S3+'s became unprofitable to keep running. I will say, "It was a nice run while it lasted, and kano.is is the only place to be." Not sure what I will do yet, but 1TH is like mining for dust now. Thanks kano & ck, it has been an honor, CapnBDL  Which means just what it says. I am no longer paying the bills with just the 2xS3+ and to go higher is out of my reach. Heck, who knows, I may try my hand in the solo pool for a stint. There comes a time when the hobby costs outweight the pleasure, by continuing. Someone mentioned the S7 cost of ~2.4 BTC. Holy cow, I must be poor. I have never seen 2.4BTC in my wallet. One can only wish or hope. I will hang in for as long as possible, as I really love this pool, the OPs, and the people of this community. Keep mining and Good Luck to all for the Avalon. CapnBDL |

I'm going to have to agree with Phil that there's just damn good code on ck/kano pool that gives them an advantage over the other pools. It can't just be luck alone in my eyes. They're definitely doing something right with the block changes and all that high tech stuff that goes over my head that gives us an advantage. GUARD that code guys! |
