I'll add another 1BTC onto the miner reward for 444050 also (will show up when I tell CKDB to regenerate the payout soon)

... also since that block was 42% Diff Cheesy

... last time I actually added 1.1160704 BTC to the miner reward, but this time just 1BTC Smiley

Edit: Done

Below is first expiring the generated payout, then the override when regenerating it
Code:
[2016-12-19 11:14:13.487+11] 1.ok.expire payout 2657 block 444050 reward 1313531033 status 'G'
[2016-12-19 11:17:34.642+11] process_pplns(): *** block 444050 payout reward overridden, was 1313531033 now 1413531033 = 100000000 (7.6131%) more

Holy chicken!  That really is the best block reward in a long time! Thanks Kano!  Shocked

S9v2

Yep the S9v1 sux something terrible - the stats are still getting worse.

ANYONE using the v1 firmware - PLEASE update to v2.

It's got to conspiracy theory levels how bad the luck is with S9v1 firmware.

The last luck report I ran:
S9v1:
Block found: 79
Expected: 105.15
CDF[Erl]: 0.996590

Yeah that's basically saying that it's averaging 75% luck for 79 blocks ... that's like really BAD luck ... or BAD code.

I think that I would wager on the latter.  Wink

Thanks for the bonuses on those blocks! Hopefully things pick back up to normal around here and you won't feel the urge to have to do that again.  Cheesy

How would you go about doing that? Ive got a B10 S9 and don't want to get that autotune crap due to the location of my S9 (under my desk). Also how do you know what version of BMminer youre running anyway? I couldn't see it anywhere on the GUI.

Well just to put in my two cents..  These v1 bmminer units have by far more hw errors then ive seen with any of the antminer line.  I'm sure (no I'm positive) its throwing good blocks away.  They told everyone to upgrade a while back and pulled all the code for the old units.  Id say that should be a big red flag.  Them pulling the old code from download.  I also once tried to put it up and was asked in a pm from bitmain to not post that code. Hmm wonder why.  So another knife in back from bitmain.  In their haste to market they put out machines that don't find blocs properly.  I did however which is what has me scratching my head find two blocks on solo with two dif s9.  So I know they do work.  What I know also about the machines is if you put in more than one pool it throws tons of dup shares.  I have no idea how adding a backup pool causes this but that is my exp.

honestly I hope we are wrong.  And the gut feeling I have will come to fruition.  Looking for a block spree soon;)

In System > Overview you have a field that says: "BMminer Version" and it will either be 1.0.0 or 2.0.0.  It's that same screen where you see that "failed to connect" error message early in the boot process.

I am running the Nov 29th firmware (which is the last one they released) on my newer S9 and it doesn't cycle the fan speeds up and down, it stays pretty steady (without letting it hit 100 degrees which is also good).  But unfortunately there is no manual control.

I am contemplating putting the V1 S9's on antpool rather than upgrade them.  I have never mined there before but maybe it would be the most karmically just solution.

I have mine slightly OC'd with static fans and if I went with the firmware upgrade I would lose the ability to do either of those things.
