... will our chances of finding block be higher when they will be switching BCC or it is not related?
Diff changes (once every 2016 blocks or about every 2 weeks) are what affect the chance of block finding for a fixed hash rate. If we get a lower diff change tomorrow coz of their temporary switch (likely) then it had the desired effect for them and a desirable effect for us.

If we get a lower diff change tomorrow coz of their temporary switch (likely) then it had the desired effect for them and a desirable effect for us. If they switch back their hash rate to BTC (and the hash rate is roughly the same as before, just with a lower difficulty) and all other things remaining equal I'm thinking the effect would just be more blocks in total (as the chance of finding a block is larger) with the same division between pools as with the higher diff... Should be 2 good weeks with more payouts then :-)

Okay seeing bitmain moving 2000 to 3700 ph of hash around was a bit nerve racking. https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficultyBitcoin Difficulty: 923,233,068,449 Estimated Next Difficulty: 877,469,586,761 (-4.96%) < I like this numberAdjust time: After 97 Blocks, About 17.2 hours Hashrate(?): 5,498,753,429 GH/s Block Generation Time(?): 1 block: 10.7 minutes 3 blocks: 31.9 minutes 6 blocks: 1.1 hours Updated: and this price is good $4,205.54 BITCOIN PRICE+$280.54 SINCE YESTERDAY (USD) +7.15% SINCE YESTERDAY (%) but bitmain's power to simply move both BTC and BCC hash rates with ease scares me. Plus they just showed the world they can do it with ease So I sold some coin just in case. Not all or even ½ of my coin but ¼ of it. Waiting on news for 1 avalon 741 today and 1 1080 ti

I was hoping I could grab one from this last pre-order, but they are all sold out, again. Arg! I keep refreshing the page. Managed to get some (self financing) from BTC only. Been running on T9s non stop (seriously, non stop at 21 deg room temp) since launch date with no issues at all. I wonder if the S9s will not cause any issues too (never had an S9 before).

Belongs in the Bitmain s9 thread.... That said, the s9 is a roll of the dice. Generally reliable but many folks have had problems. Again - perhaps read the s9 thread? The T9 was made to address the s9 reliability issues and so far Bitmain succeeded in that there are few to no reported problems with the T9's.

This might go in the Psychology thread, but do you have OCD? Cause you keep wanting people to post in totally different threads for stuff and while I would agree, to a point, the people that mine in this pool and post on this thread also think of this thread as a community. So tossing posts up in totally different threads when discussing hardware they want to purchase, or have purchased, to mine in this pool is a little unrealistic. Just curious. That and getting upset when more than four lines of text are posted also seems to be out of your Fuzzy Warm Zone That being said, my second s9 did have an issue with heat and I was going to send it back for repair but it corrected itself. I think it had some thermal paste issue and once it warmed up it got better chip coverage and reduced the heat. Now it mines just fine for this pool.

Someone just got a solo block! Lucky ducks!
What would be a solo block and how does it work? They mine on ... solo. So when they get a block they get 99% of the block! Which is like $52,000 give or take... Bad form discussing other pools here. Especially that one.

Yeah probably. I thought Kano ran that one as well? It's usually where old hardware goes to die I thought. -ck and kano are no longer a team, they had a falling out about a year or so ago

What would be a solo block and how does it work? They mine on "A Solo Pool" solo. So when they get a block they get 99% of the block! Which is like $52,000 give or take... Yeah higher fees than here, and they expect a tip on top of the higher fee ...
