Block! by rwwilson75 Smiley
finally Tongue
16.69 BTC Smiley
and 3 payouts Smiley

Finally!! I've been staring at my screen for 48 hours! haha

So just because i'm new and ignorant. rwwilson75 actually found the block right? but it was distributed to everyone in the pool since we all pooled our resources? pardon the simplicity of the question lol

That is correct, we will all get a portion of the block based on the amount of work we've done. We just like to honor the blockfinder.

I will require a feast when I find one.  Tongue I really like the enthusiasm here though. Lol

Halo Platform is one of the fastest Blockchains I've seen yet. They have FREE transactions. 250 Millisecond Block speeds. Smart contracts, Masternodes, blockchain games, and their own high speed DEX with BTC/ETH/USDC pairs. Similar to ETH, Waves, EOS, and more yet with only $1 million mcap. This video showcases the speed and reliability of the blockchain using the DEX, Masternodes (that will soon payout in BTC and ETH), blockchain games, and more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g74d3ixX7E8&feature=youtu.be

Indeed, it's the most relevant point about Bitcoin and block finding.
You can't ever decide if you will find a block, that's just luck, no matter how big or small your hash rate is.

The bigger your hash rate, the more blocks you are expected to find, but not what you are assured to find.

Here you are rewarded for the work you do, not the luck (or bad luck) you have.
The larger your hash rate, the proportionally greater your reward.

However, as a group (pool), we are all rewarded based on the luck of the whole pool finding blocks.
Thus that's the point of being a pool, pooling our resources to minimise that luck variance.

I don't run a high risk casino, like certain other pools Smiley

The expected reward here is higher than any other pool.
Luck goes up and down, but the expected, long term, average result, is better here than anywhere else.

That says it all. A fair number of us, while small in terms of hash power, have been mining quite a long time and will endorse this pool without reservation.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Just moved ~60 Th over from P2Pool. I didn't realize Kano was over 80 Ph, so I'm looking forward to a relatively lower variance. P2Pool is awesome, but at 3 Ph it was averaging around 30 days between blocks.

Humbled to be in the presence of such dedicated miners and the kano community  - Cheers!

Welcome, welcome!

In about 5-8 days you should see your full potential and we will start getting blocks back to back to back I can feel it Smiley I just added another 5TH to my meager family. Brings me up to around 51.8 TH

From what it looks this month won't be finished as green as we all wanted to be. Sad.  Let's hope the next month will be better!

Heck, we've had 4 green months in a row and 5 out of the last 6 were green.

So this month ends up red; we are ahead of the expected block count! Cheesy

Many thanks for the warm welcome!  I'm very impressed thus far with the kano.is website, and the extensive analytics with shifts, hashrate, and luck probability.  Quick question - Is there anyway to determine your predicted payout when a block hits?  I haven't yet been mining for the 5nd period, but would like to know what the expected payout will be.  Any advise?
