I'm on Kaua'i Island at the far west end of Hawai'i. I use the main node (stratum.kano.is) as it has always been almost twice as fast as the JP (Japan), NYA (NY), or SG (Singapore). Part of that has to do with what "backbone" your Internet is connected through. I'm on the same drop here as the US Navy'e Pacific Missile Range Facility five miles down the end of the road...but still, that's how it works here. JP, SG, and NYA are somewhat slower than the main node.

Hope that's helpful.
[/quote]

Thanks - whats your ping from Kaua'i Island to stratum.kano.is?

Anyone know what's up in Labrador? I'm not seeing any info re NLHydro...been a while.

EDIT: Well...disregard my last. My sled dogs appear to be ramping up again.  Kiss
Whew! I was thinking the same thing. I too see hash returning (no relation to Midnight Express...  Shocked) to my account.  Been a great Block Party Weekend even with Friday sucking!  Cheesy

This is our 5th of BLOCK SUNDAY! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
... and since the posts at the time were rather all over the place, I'll state the best part about those last 3 blocks by:
dance191, cobramining and bobsyouruncle ...
It was 3 blocks in 7 network blocks and the last 2 were back-to-back Smiley

About time we finally got on the board with our first block! Been here in varying degrees, with a few months off in the middle, since August '16. The block was hit by the only T9 in our bunch of otherwise all S9's.

Anxious to know more (hopefully soon) about Canaan's plans that Kano's hinted at, as we've got room to spare on our transformer and are looking to continue to expand.

On average, around 125ms.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

You know, before I was mining here, I thought it was kind of silly the way everyone reacted when a block was found.

Now however, it's WOOOO  HOOOOO!  Another one! Smiley

I get it!

@kano

my S9 seems to only be getting credited with 9TH for the last 9hrs in the "User Shift Perforamance" on the site - but its reporting 13.8TH from its GUI with no issues anywhere?

any ideas or issues your end?

I will reboot and see what happens.

EDIT - I see the pool overall had a blip and reduced hash at exactly the same time my hash dropped.  The pool recovered quickly - but I did not until I rebooted?  So I lost 25% of hash for 9hrs.

From a South Pacific Island I get ping of 157ms from stratum.Kano.is (is this US?)

NYA = 233ms
JP = 269
SG = 280

Euro servers are all much slower

So I have set my failover to JP - thinking that NYA will be similar route to stratum.kano.is but JP should be a different route?
JP goes across the Pacific to the US West coast, so JP is about as close as you can get to stratum.kano.is from Asia.
NYA is of course on the other side of the US
SG is pretty much just for people right there around Malaysia since the network in that area isn't the best - so it solves that for people in that area.

Thats better but we are still far behind expected..come on lady luck

Yeah, I've been on this pool for two weeks now and have made roughly half of what I am used to from other pools.  I am not sure if 2 weeks is enough for a valid comparison, but I am not just a few percentage points off.  I am 50% off.  It's feeling rough.
Two weeks is not enough. A month, maybe. Even then variance is a factor.

There are a core of us that have been mining quite a long time, on a number of pools as well as solo, and that core is here because we've found by experience and hard data that we make more here on a steady basis than elsewhere...and we can actually see for ourselves what is happening, with an operator who is transparent.

If you can find better than that, go for it.

Well, I am liking the fact that I stuck around now!  Waking up to find that there have been 6 blocks in the last 24 hours makes my coffee taste better somehow!

Snootch to the mother F'in nootch, COrig2016 hits the big time! Woo Hoo! CO for Colorado I hope? Have done numerous road trips across this vast U.S... or at least from CA to the Great Lakes region.  Denver has the main U.S. dealership for Caterham Super 7 Death Machines of which I am an avid member, and the only gun shop I specifically made a detour to, but that was years ago...  Roll Eyes
Mine on!  Cool

Litecoin was started by a person on this forum called coblee
He is more well known by his real name Charlie Lee

People think a lot of him.
He's a scammer.

Proof:
Litecoin was started as a GPU resistant coin using scrypt.
I stated in the Litecoin thread (yes you can find my posts still there) saying that the scrypt values used should be OK with a GPU, they aren't high enough to make it GPU resistant.
Everyone seemed to believe Charlie, and Litecoin went on for something like a year with everyone CPU mining.

Then ... it was revealed that he had a GPU miner and had been GPU mining for a lot of that time (possibly since the start?) while the rest of the planet was CPU mining Litecoin.

Litecoin was created based on a lie by Charlie to his own advantage.

Yes I stay away from altcoins ... since this is the case for most if not all of them ... scams from the start.

Or, the green, lol.

Either way, it sure is welcome!
