Did we just have an outage or node loss or something? My S7 is spinning up and down, usually does that when pool switching or something. Says uptime 1 minute, lol. No power outage.
Just curious!

Definitely some recent error with the stats at least - the site shows all question marks for users and hash rate (and all other stats), but seems to be fixed now.

Yep there were huge red letters at the p0ol's page saying that smth is reloading and mining is ok. Edit: and again right now it says "Database timeout or reloading, mining is all OK"

Edit: and again right now it says "Database timeout or reloading, mining is all OK" It gets a timeout sometimes under certain conditions (that I know why) I'll try to find time to resolve that after I put the share checking code on the live pool.

When it starts off the left it doesn't show it.

To be fair. Over the last 5 days, how many blocks did kano find of those large fees. Don't be so quick to judge.

Still. his attitude is like people mining here are rolling in dough, when the reality is that something is up with this place and it's behind again.

I don't think something is "up". It appears to be nothing more than variance. It's a small pool. That means there will be regular long blocks. M

It's not quite as you say. There is a thing called variance. That's why some blocks are "lucky" and "fast". And some aren't quite so lucky and fast. In fact, some are really really bad. Just like some are really really good. If you can have a 2% luck block (#2176), you can certainly have really long blocks. It's well known that the more hash rate a pool has, the less variance comes into play. Conversely, the less hash rate a pool has, the more variance comes into play. M

Ya I was hoping we would have got some blocks while there was some big high tx fees but we didnt and Thats just how it goes. Not everyone can all have good luck and all hit the same blocks.
Tho im a bit conflicted as to if I should be glad I did not sacrifice my dog and my neighbor's children being we didn't find any blocks in the big block bonaza. or should i feel like its my fault for not offing them to appease the block gods???
Who knows maybe we didnt get lucky because there were more negative nancys mining but with bad karma or negatively. and so the block gods gave more blocks to others.
I know of one other real real tiny pool That usually only hits a block with 100% or better luck if they get one block in about 59 days. When they get one in 30 they are doing really good. They just so happened to get real super lucky and hit one block that was around 24 btc.. and they were only 10 days from when they got there last block. With a total of about 2000th total pool size.. So people mining there got paid really well for there time and getting so lucky to hit a block this weekend. BUT I'm not going to be mad at them for getting their lucky block break. They were just all super lucky and thats all luck is, its just luck.

Still. his attitude is like people mining here are rolling in dough, when the reality is that something is up with this place and it's behind again.
This comes up at EVERY pool, anytime short term luck plummets. People come out with their conspiracies. Start pool hopping. Sacrificing virgins. But really, in the end, it all evens out. If you look at the long term stats, they are still above the expected PPS return. On a rare occasion, there is a problem like a block withholding attack or some other nefarious purpose/glitch in code. But at least here you know that here, the pool op is looking into it and updates you regularly with what is going on. If ever that stops happening, it is time to run. Like at Slush from dec 2015 - feb 2016. When everyone mining there got robbed. Finally after 3 months of miner complaints and being told everything is ok, they announced someone (I think it was Omega mining) with a large percentage of the hash was running hardware that could not find blocks. Then the pool op said basically, oh he didn't know. Let's just let him keep all your coins. So really, if they can't handle the swings. STFU and move elsewhere where there will be less variance, or at least the long blocks don't last as long. But you'll be in in the dark as to what's going on. OR Mine ON. Oh, and sacrifice some chickens....
