Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Good morning,

As I have said before, I have a crappy internet connection. Because of this, my miners fail over to another pool often. They come right back, but they tend to mine a satoshi or three on the backup pool first.  What do you guys recommend as a good backup pool? A non-Chinese pool. Obviously, I would prefer it to be a pps pool so that someday I will get the reward from the accumulation.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Since the drop is not related to the pool, use the Kano main stratum and the two fastest Kano nodes and put the fastest of these three on top.  That way whenever your network connection pops back up it will continue hashing normally no matter which node it switched to.

This is how I do it because even if the pool went down long enough to hit a pps pool the hash would be so low that it would never amount to anything anyway.

I yelled at my miners last night for not working hard enough to crack any blocks in such a long time and I saw one trying really hard this morning...check out this short term hash rate! Cheesy

Yea kano make some firmware for antminers really lowered the load on the miner by a good factor the HW errors are much lower than standard tested against standard s3 there is decent improvements.

That was a perfect solution. Not 5 minutes after making the change, I heard the traditional beeping of no connection for 5 seconds before it failed over to another pool. This time however, using kanos other servers as my backup, I did not see my share rate drop to nothing.

Perfect

I used to worry about how to deal with the 3rd pool until I realized that the Kano pool is never down. Grin

Oh when I first started mining as a newbie I just knew these pools were trying to rip me off so I would monitor everything constantly.  It turned out that it wasn't just in my head and they were ripping me off.  My math was right all along.  Then I found the Kano pool.  It took me a while to relax but I eventually grew up and chilled out here. I did the same log most thing from miner with proxy while pool testing I was called stupid and there is no point but on PPS payout on some pools I saw issues.
Lets see what a year here will bring.

DrSha: I'm still trying to discern if your profile's use of "<3 BTC" means that you possess less than 3 BTC or if it's an emoji fail.

My miners arrived ahead of schedule, and after spending some time wiring up a temporary location, I'm officially contributing
my hashing power to this pool. Let the ramp begin! Thanks Kano!

I think it is the text emoji for the cute face or cat face and is probably meant to say he loves BTC. Cheesy

In an effort to please Karma and the Anime Goddesses, I would like to offer one S9's hashpower to a 'smaller miner' in Kano community, for the duration of one week.

This is not a promotional thing and I have nothing to gain from it. Why do I want to do this? Why not..?!

Unless Kano disagrees with this, for some reason, here are the conditions.

- You must be already mining on Kano with a combined hashpower below 10THs (on the Pool Stats page).

- Send me a direct message with your user name, if you qualify and wish to participate. Do not reply to this with your user name, as we don't want to flood the forum, unless it is for a general comment.

- I will randomly draw one qualifying user tomorrow Monday midnight CET. I will then announce the 'winner' and the S9 will run under its user name until Sunday midnight CET.

- Should the machine drop in hashpower or encounter any technical issues, I will not be responsible and liable to make up for it.

Let's make mining fun!!

OK by me Smiley

You can also ask me in PM how long they have been mining with the low hash rate and I'll check.
Obviously I wont be giving out detailed answers, but I will let you know if they indeed are a longer term miner with a low hash rate.
The Rewards page shows that clearly.
