Sorry all, I've deleted all the posts about someone getting people to fund buying miners.
Firstly, I've no idea who the person is, and secondly it's a brand new account asking for people to send them money.
Both of those mean the discussion will be not be held here.

That was me Kano.  Apologies if it was out of line.  I was hoping to find some way to harness the collective buying power of the pool to purchase 821s wholesale from Canaan.  It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I recognize the inherent risk of the proposition.  My hope was that I could keep the process transparent enough, including providing a sufficient amount of my personal information, so that all involved would be comfortable with the arrangement.  I loved the idea of pushing 66x 821s to the pool in the next 30-45 days, at a reasonable up front cost, but again I completely understand the hesitation on your side.  No harm, no foul?  Happy hashing everyone.

I did pick them up from there, but you can save on shipping/customs if you order from the USA.   The issues I had with the order were out of CU's hands as it was a GLS/FedEx issue.

Guys, maybe this is a stupid question but, why the hype with the Avalons 821?

Avalon 821 is about $263 per TH/s with no PSU and without shipping ($2900 per A821, no PSU, no shipping)

I just got 4 S9 including PSU and shipping and paid about $192 per TH/s ($2600 per S9+PSU including shipping)

Is just because we hate antpoo and the Canaan hardware is more reliable or I'm missing something?  Huh

S9 failure is well known to be bad. (on the S9 at least, they were real good on the S1 an S3, things started to be bad with S5).

It's a bit of chance and badluck but they are way less reliable then Avalon product.

So yeah ... i'm all in Avalon now.

Probably nothing to do with the 6 months of "testing" they do, before selling it, price gouged, to some poor schlub. J/S

Blockforge DOES have an official thread ya know...
That said, yes. They are a pleasure to work with. I've gotten several A741 & A821 miners, 5 controllers and 5 PSU's from them. From time to time they also sell the s9's at a very modest markup vs eBay and such.

I've used Blokforge for other products other than miners themselves...worked great!

Thank you. They say MAYBE April on 841's. It will mean maybe having to ramp up again by not buying S9's now, but it would be worth it.

Kano, on the pool site, is the number of users actual accounts, or is it per miner connection? I'd like to include the number in my
promoting I'm doing for the pool, and I don't wanna stray from facts. Also, I've noticed this number climbing too. Thanks!

Can anyone else answer this? Thanks!
