I gotta say I do hope we keep the main com channels limited to just here and Discord. Already getting information fragmentation with some technical/operations points being bought up in Discord that has never been mentioned here and most likely won't be. ceste' la'vie

I agree, I like the Discord channel, but it is quite a bit easier to pop on here for a quick scan of announcements, issues, etc.

Discord is much easier than here...  MINE AND GIN ON!

I agree, Discord is easier but I'm with Fuzzy about limiting the coms to just bitcointalk and Discord...for us miners

Kano has posted on both platforms about all important Pool related information. ( i.e. restarts/code updates/issues )
Alot of "other technical" stuff Kano has posted on discord, has been posted here in the past, or isn't necessarily pool
related, as far as the average user is concerned. ( i.e. info on server equipment/educational linux info )

Many things have only been posted on discord from pool members, that are very useful to miners. ( i.e. pro tips/articles/links )
Although I personally find those discord posts helpful, they may not be getting posted here, because of a members choice
not to post here, because of personal limitations, or the information may be deemed "off topic clutter" here at the forum, as
some of it doesn't necessarily relate to the pool itself.

In example to this: on discord someone was asking about the 110v/220v difference and the possibilities. Their questions were
answered, by many helpful members. Had that same question been asked here, as it has been, people would have tried to answer,
but ultimately they would have been told to go look in the mining support section, as it's been repeatedly answered in the
past.

The discord channel is definitely more "laid back" than the forum,  as people can "shoot the sh*t" about mining at Kano's Pool,
and quickly ask a specific member about anything "random", without being crucified for not meeting the criteria of the forum
rules. The other advantage is "tagging" @member to notify them, that their questions have been seen/answered.

And....if people have an issue with others who like humor, cartoon characters, or block dances/tributes, neither of the platform
options are going to make them happy. You can give them a bag of gold, and they'd complain that it's too heavy.

I doubt we'll be seeing any more of them.

Not exactly the best way to get information by walking into someones house, and talking shit about their interests. A slightly different approach and I'm positive Kano would have enlightened him on theings they didn't even realize they did not know. That's been my experience so far.

great that this nut has been cracked.

Just returned from 2 week holiday.
Sad to see that in 2 weeks we only cracked 6 blockts...
The last 6-7 blocks are as deep red as they can be... Not a goodforesight....
Hope our luck turns and we get some good quickies right now to compensate...

Can it have something to do with the hot weather? I mean, mybe many people shutting down their equipment, or...? Is there a graph of global hashrate where we can see this?

Luck (which is a measure of historical information) is unrelated to hash rate.

I do like that almost anything can be discussed there...  The one down side is getting behind quickly.  This morning I saw about 250 unread discord messages...  Still have not caught up with that and probably will just scroll through them quickly instead...  I wish it could auto prioritize based on words....  Mine on!

Yeah sometimes things can get hairy and wordy at night for many of us in the US....slowly but surely you can catch up though.
