According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Hi guys and gals,

I am slightly new, therefore due judge  Grin. I have used the search function on the site and a bit of google prior Roll Eyes.

Where I am now:

1. I understand a bit of PPLNSG, how does the shift work like? When do you say it sets aside some earnings for later or is that additional earning, for how long does it pay it after you get a payment?

2. It appears to me this is worth in the long term; still trying to clear do you still get a daily payment, or only based on when a block is found?

3. If one would compare the income generate to whattomine would it hit the projected outcome?

4. I wanted to open my account and I got this "Too many failures, come back later". What can I do? How long to wait? Tried 4 hours ago and now again and still like that.

Thank you

Rewards when we find a block.

No idea how they calculate their projected outcome.
I reward 99.1% of the mined BTC

There will be a KDB restart at around 07:25 UTC (about 3 hours from now) just after the shift completes then.

NO Mining will be affected

It will be a longer than previous restart coz the restart must load a bit more than the full 5Nd worth of data for the web stats pages.
That currently goes back to early June.

As usual, during a restart, the web site shows losta zeros and '?' until it completes.

You wont see any obvious changes with this update, but it does actually include all the new accounting code.
I'm (slowly) working my way though the almost 5000 transactions on the pool since it started (I'm well past half way) and testing/adjusting the code to handle all the manual changes I've done over the years to the payouts at the request of people for address changes, dust, other such things, and bonuses etc also.

Putting this live allows me to fix problems people have caused (some unintentionally and some intentionally) and make sure others can't cause them also while I work though finishing this off.
Restart completed and running fine.
Seems I've been working hard on the code over the last year ... it took less than 5 mins to run from start to complete ... though I must admit I've done so many changes over that time I can't remember what could have sped it up that much Smiley

Not yet.
As I said, still working on it.

But responding to your actual questions, no dust can never pay out.
You can't send a transaction with crappy tiny amounts, it will never get confirmed.

The point of it, as I've explained, is to be able to payout people over time, their history of unpaid dust rewards.
... and I've always said that the unpaid (and paid) rewards are there, to never disappear, you'll get them one day.

I meant in accumulated amounts - sorry for the confusion. I only asked as your post said it was incorporating the accounting changes - wasnt sure if that referred to the accumulation of dust

And whether they are there or not - I cant log in to see anything - think my dudt is between 9k a little over/umder that amount

I've no idea what you ate or what truck you tried to jump under - but I certainly don't know if you are dying.

Come on man, 133.7% is not a dry spell by any definition.  That's barely over 100% Smiley

barely? its 1/3rd over I would say barely is 105 to 110 but just like every thing else, it's my opinion. I feel it was a dry spell. you do not. I am sure there are those that agree with both concepts - does not make one right/one wrong. The time period is what it is, as is the luck. hopefully the next one comes in under 100 - which tends to happen often here Smiley

If it's just an opinion, why do you feel the need to defend it?  Sounds like a compulsive need to always get the last word Cheesy

According to Wikipedia,

Quote
Getting the last word means that you win the debate. It also shows your moral superiority. This should convince your opponent that you are correct, and will certainly impress your fellow Wikipedians.

It is particularly important to get the last word where you are in some doubts as to the merits of your case. The last word will serve as a clinching argument that will make up for any deficiencies in your logic. Achieving the last word now also brings the advantage that you may subsequently point to your success in this debate as the clinching argument in future debates. However, if you did not win the last discussion, we still recommend claiming incessantly that you did.

I'm just messing with you Mopar... Cheesy
