i hope BCX is aware that he has just announced intent to commit a u.s. felony.  it would behoove him to avoid u.s. customs henceforth, in particular, if there is an xmr attack over the next week or two.

BCX: please confirm this with your legal counsel.

not to be ... uh.  how will they know it's him?

do we want to trust a coin that relies on people "not committing crimes" for security?

Can one of the devs post a donation monero address for a special cause ? I would like to donate to someone who wants to buy mining power to strenghten the network to make a possible attack more difficult. I don't have much but fuck it, i am willing to donate to a good cause. Let's fight back as a community.

I, too, want to donate in this time of need.  Is the Hall of Fame address appropriate?

I'd recommend to just send the fund to the Monero Dev donation address:

(better look it up yourself)

I think it is more important to support AnonyMint and the Monero devs to look up if their are any exploits possible, while large holders and miners will certainly provide some more hashrate

Enthusiast. Neither trader, nor miner and also no big investor.

felony culpability might be avoided if all the miners agreed to invite BCX to attack.  again, i suggest acting on advice of competent counsel.

Best FUD bomb I've seen since I'm in crypto. This guy is truly evil.

Totally.  Announcing all this in the trollbox is highly suspicious.

He did do this back in 2012 to Litecoin in BTC-e trollbox and then renegged on his "attack" claiming it was just a joke and to strengthen LTC.

We will see if he is right or wrong soon enough.

One thing is for sure....BCX still has his massive ego and needs people to know he can do what he claims.

I remember that.  Good times!  The stuff of legend.   Cheesy

Monero is no AuroraCoin.  We will soon see if it's the next Litecoin.  BCX can read the writing on the wall better than most.  He's just a little late to the Monero party, where all the cool kids are.

Thanks for the cheap notes BCX.  You're the best!   Cool

So you think hes trying to get cheap coins?

Most of the people in these XMR threads seem to be just interested in getting cheap coins, especially a lot of the so called "supporters" of XMR.

There are no laws in crypto. Your an idiot if you expect the government to intervene.

If you try to get the government involved, all crypto currency communities will attack your coin and destroy it because of the regulation and laws your whining could cause.

Careful you don't force his hand and eliminate our 72 hour window to fix this.

Is this 'exploit' MONERO specific or true/if true for all CN coins ??

Triff ..

Anyone know the answer to this or too soon to tell ??

so y'all promonero guys are assuming that BCX's 500 BTC bet is false? and that Moneroman88 didn't actually goad BCX into wanting to find an exploit in Monero?

it seems like thats what happened to me. funny how all the other moderated monero threads are silent on this whole affair.

thats because you are Moneroman88

first of all, that's not an answer to the question i was asking.

second of all, you can continue believing this if you must, but I'm telling you I'm not him. BCX didn't seem to pursue his initial hunch that I was.

Newbie accounts(Moneroman's accounts) are trying to provoke BCX. ...

this is pretty obvious and irritating, i'm glad everyone is able to see through this ruse.

Nope, I can't see through it. And I have questions.

That's because you're Moneroman88.

Geez at least use a different IP when deploying sockies.

~BCX~

What? Aw man give me a break, you really think that lowly of me??

Hey I liked you. I'm on your side.

Most likely would be a problem with all coins using crypto note. * if there is a problem

If it was solely monero it would be easy to fix if other CN coins didn't have the problem.

maybe this post is expensive but anyway

what he is saying does not make sense:

monero is not a direct competitor to litecoin

at best it is a direct competitor to another private coin - I cannot follow from bcx posts that he has a position in any of them

from a game-theoretic standpoint he knows that risto will never accept his bet

draw your own conclusion - I have one

Just one problem with your theory. The Monero devs, Anonymint and even rpietila have acknowledged bcx exploit is real and they are working on fixing it.

BCX has not demonstrated or disclosed any exploit. Many people are looking carefully.
