gpumon is not seeing BitForce units connected to a machine running BAMT, and I would like to fix this.
Update: Another machine on the network can see the status of the singles in mgpumon though.

In bamt.conf I use:

settings:

  cgminer: 1
  cgminer_opts: --api-listen --api-port 4028 -O blah -o http://blah -O blah -o http://blah -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 -S /dev/ttyUSB2 -S /dev/ttyUSB3 -S /dev/ttyUSB4 [...etc]
  cgminer_port: 4028
  do_cgsnoop: 1
  do_bcast_status: 0

In cgsnoop.conf I have:

broadcast: 1
broadcastport: 54545
127.0.0.1:4028,bamt17,unspecified location

I see no cgminer API errors, how can I determine the reason that gpumon is not seeing the BitForce units in cgminer?

ps aux | grep cgsnoop shows no results. So I assume cgsnoop is not running. I guess it is running though, since I see the status of these machines is being broadcast on the network to mgpumon.

When I manually run /opt/bamt/cgsnoop it runs for a second and then closes. What could cause that? I guess that is irrelevant.

UPDATE:

I can see the BFL units in mgpumon on another machine on the network, so cgsnoop must be broadcasting their status. But I still cannot see these units in gpumon on the machine that is controlling them!

cgsnoop does exactly what you are observing.  it collects data from cgminer and broadcasts or submits it in a form that mgpumon uses.

bamt has no support for fpga devices beyond this.
