microcoin 2.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=793538.0

Heritage: BITR, SUMC, OPC

Problems:

* MODERATE: genesis seed is not a news event
* MODERATE: time drift is allowed of up to 1 day. This could allow for some timestamp and difficulty manipulation attacks.
** For reference, bitcoin only allows 4 hours.
* MAJOR: launch was obscured. It wasn't announced as a new coin until half of the PoW blocks had been mined.
** Because of this, difficulty didn't pickup until block 2715
* MINOR: ANN spec for PoW coin supply is misleading. "5000 blocks with 1000MRC reward." actually, it's 4900 blocks with 1000 MRC with PoS blocks interspersed

Notes:

Watermarks: uint64_t

5 Million coins that you can buy for less than 5$ together on alcurex currently is all that the mining phase issued...this is a MAJOR problem?

Alright, I see the new version has arrived. Well done guys! Thanks!

I think this is a right moment to "switch" versions right? First, I will let my wallet synch. I think i've got time tomorrow to swap between the old and new MicroCoins.
I hope this is going to give MicroCoin the future it deserves.

{Curently quite inactive as I'm really busy in my private life. I will get back soon!}

Question to the community: Do you think we should try to get on one of the "big" exchanges again or is it better if we see microCoin as an alcurEX dedicated coin?

10 % POS should definitely attract attention if clever marketed because staking is more easy realizable than mining.

More exchanges would be nice. But people will buy the coin based on the features, it is what we don't have right now.

halibit,

when the 30 day period to change old mrc to new mrc is over, and let's say, 15 million coins were changed, do you think it might be an idea to give the leftover count of the coins partial to all buyers of mrc2? I mean so. Person A owns 0,5 percent of the already changed coins and so he/she gets additional 0,5 percent of the coins which haven't been changed.

Just an idea, i hope you understand what i mean. If that makes problems it's surely better to destroy all the rest.

How much time keeping coins in your wallet, you are stake and how much it is? Is this some percentage of the sum accumulated in the wallet, for example, 0.5%?

Info for microCoin holders:

ALCUREX shares are now deposit from cryptostocks.

Market ALCUREX-BTC is open for trading.
https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/alcurex_btc

Fee profits:
alcurEX will pay +50% of the exchange profits for the shareholders.
BTC and LTC profits will be paid after Server costs are filled.
MRC profits have no server costs at all.

Shares will have daily pay out.
This will start as soon as daemon is ready.

We will pay out All MRC/MRC2 feeprofits and other past profits for shareholders.
(On this moment only MRC have past profits)
NOTE: If you sell your shares before we start pay fees, new shareholder will get all past profits.

I hope share payment daemon will be ready on this week.

Share report you can find in ALCUREX market "Coin info" box.

I would vote for destroying the leftover coins if there are any, why complicating things if there is no need?

Yes. If there is left any coins after 30d we should destroy rest coins, because old wallet is hard to handle even now.
Sad if some one miss change coins in 30d period, but old wallet is really laggy to use in exchange.

New wallet is great Smiley
We should request back to poloniex/ mint.
And vote in c-cex and bittrex.

Anyone who want manage this mission?
