PokerNote is a P2P poker tournament club-crypto and is part of The Outback

PokerNote tournaments will be Knockout where players will randomly selected to play 10 seater knockouts.

P2P Poker on the face of it may seem attractive, but has the disadvantage that on single table play it will be near impossible to prevent colluding. For this reason players will enter a tournament and then randomly be seated. Last few standing will move to the next round.

This will be done using the open source Peer to Peer poker software PokerTH.

There is no real-world value to PokerNotes and they are not yet Mined, players can enter for free on the following terms.

Download the PokerTH software and register with the same Nick as Bitcointalk, Pm if this has been done or if not possible, You will be entered into cup tournament, each player will add 10 PokerNotes to the Total that will go to the winner/ runners up.

It would be nice to favour a particular timezone, but this would once again favour colluding, so once a maximum of 100 players/ or after the cut-off for entry (this will depend on interest), players will be randomly selected for tables and those tables can discuss amongst themselves what time suites.

The following is open to discussion

  • Starting stack
  • Blind Structure
  • Reward structure

PokerNote and its development will allways favour social and legal Poker, but it is safe to say that there will be the possibility that Individuals will set up their own servers and run their own tournaments, as the software is opensource, we can have no control over this. This is a non-moderated thread, so they might even promote these tournaments here. We just advise that one is careful and uses common sense.
An example of common sense is that a server should never control or generate whatever reward you may receive for your skills, as this leaves things open to corruption.

On completion of Tournament, source code and binaries will be released for people to Mine PokerNote.  They will be mined in a short space of time and not exceed 500 000, any further will be created through Tx.
