I think that after last hacking (synccoin if I remember correctly) people move to other exchanges, mostly bittrex. As long I have been using them they were reliable but now I prefer other exchanges.

The downside to Bittrex is WAY too computer resource hoggish. Makes my laptop critically overheat every time I've logged in to the platform. Hopefully MP gets their s#!t together fast...

Mintpal is no longer top one exchange. Today everyone want to enter Bittrex.
Altcoin world is changing very fast. One day you are rich man, next one you are nothing.

That's what I'm really hating at MP:

Any public announcement on their Website before they do their "planned maintenance"?

Of course not. Angry

Not to mention the fact they're two weeks late with their "planned maintenance" and suck really bad at keeping their customers in the know...

They only announced it on Twitter, 24 hs before the site went under maintenance. I don't follow them on Twitter but I was on their site earlier today. Since I saw no announcements that the site would be offline soon, I deposited some BTC to buy some alts and now it's stuck. Clueless moronic admins.

Exactly. I miss the previous Mintpal owners, they had respect, decency. Whenever they planned to do something, there was always an announcement on the site beforehand....

These moolah.io guys now, ruined Mintpal.

I am so fucking sick of mintpal. I want one with less annoying scripts, faster wallet transfers with less verifications still have a good list of what's got continuous volume. It peaked during the massive blackcoin dump when it kept getting DDOS'd (probably accidentally a few times) and they got mad they lost money. Good support though, hopefully the switch is a move in the right direction
