Video Game Developer Using Blockchain Technology

We’ve seen some interesting ideas and concepts based on blockchain technologies over the past several months and plenty of people have been talking about video games and blockchain technologies.

This week Mark Kern who was a key founding member at Red5 Studios and was one of the original lead developers on World of Warcraft announced his latest gaming venture MEK-Entertainment and an Oculus VR game that will integrate blockchain technologies.

"The game features a retro 8-bit and SNES inspired art style powered by MEK Entertainment’s new ray-tracing, voxel graphics engine. The game’s multiverse will contain vast procedural landscapes and user scriptable servers."

The SNES was a 16-bit system. This game developer is an arrogant prick and you should never buy anything he makes. Also, don't buy Mighty No. 9 or Broken Game. Sorry, I meant Broken Age.

Given the recent massive internet drama I'm liking the mainstream games developers less and less precisely because they do have this incredible arrogance about them where they seem to think they can get away with all sorts of bullshit, the best ones I've seen are when they've blatantly fucked up like in games like Mass Effect 3 and rounded up their fanbois and reviewers to go and defend their crappy decisions. I myself will be supporting indie developers who are making games like Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous and I recommend everyone else do the same, let these fuckers go back to consoles since that's clearly where they want to be.

The latest string of pay to win games and the excuses from both the communities and the games developers about them have been pissing me off to no end as well, it is mathematically impossible to be arguing in favour of them if you truly want a balanced game that everyone will be able to play fairly.
