Can you set a time for fix or something? (or a time it will be fixed no earlier than). I woke up before I was due to stake just for this reason and I want to to back to bed, but dont want to leave my shit locked once it is fixed.

edit: The thing about ppl that had issues wont see the prob for 18 hours isnt exactly true. I made a few stakes that payed .00001 more than 20 hours ago...

One more thing to consider, your staking system is taking whole chunk of coin, but after the stake, there are two, so next stake is only half, no?

SATURDAY 10/11 IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 1 SEED DUE TO STAKE, STOP STAKING IMMEDIATELY

what now?

Numbers get too big when calculating your reward. This is something that would affect NO other coin but seed.

People with greater than 1 seed will get less than 1 seed as a reward for staking.

so this is only for people who HAVE staked? I've been waiting for 7 hours for my coins to mature and have received nothing.. I hope I'm in the clear here

What's fortunate is that most people that were having the previous problem with 0.00001 staking wont have this issue for about 18 hours, by which time I'll have fixed the problem.

If it makes anyone feel better: I don't have time to put together a test network to make sure this bug is fixed. I have no choice but to offer up my own coins to the main network to test the code.

Ok,

This doesn't affect me. I'm staking nicely. I had the 0.00001 issue Smiley

but we're looking at a new wallet release and again waiting another 24 hours after we sync it and unlock? I've missed one day already and I'm on day two waiting for my previous stack to stake.. this is getting more confusing all the time.. thanks for your patience and hard work dev - can you explain what is going to happen now and if we lost another day :/

Sometimes. Sometimes it combines all the coins into a single chunk.

Next stake will be two halves. so no not really

If I understand it, for staking, only one whole chunk is going to stake, so say I started with one 3.8 seed, received reward of .5xx, but now have two chunks, 2.25 each, next stake tho, will be with 2.25 seed, and it will create 2 new chunks.
I did check my vrc wallet, and there the stake reward is added to the chunk which staked, so you always have the number you started on.
On my other stake coin, which look to be using same staking system as seed I had over 1000 chunks after months of staking and wallet became unresponsible, I had to wait for 5+sec, just to change the overview tab to send or transaction tab, now, when cryptzo mentioned those things earlier, I`m grouping coins into big pieces by sending them to wallet on other computer and my old wallet is starting to work without those lags, but it is painful, as for first selection over that advanced coin view on send tab, the processing of that selection froze the wallet for more than hour.

Some good news for people with more than 1 coin due to stake. It is possible for you to continue to stake through this, but you'll have to do so carefully. Set ReserveBalance in your wallet to the whole number amount in your wallet. So if you have 10.24 seed, set reserve balance to 10 seed.

Just be sure to increase your reserve balance each time you stake more coins. You'll have approximately 2 hours after you stake to update the setting, since that's how long it takes to confirm the coins you staked before they get added to your balance.

You can find the Reserve Balance setting in the Settings > Options window, on the main tab. It's the second box down.

once this issue is fixed, are we looking at a new wallet release? If this is the case I'm assuming the 24 hrs is reset once synced and unlocked? Can someone confirm this?

Coins keep their age regardless of wallet update and syncing.

4 of the top 5 on the rich list are set to stake in 1 hour...Wonder if they've seen this.

Well, replacing your wallet with new version should not reset the number of confirmation, e.g. age of coins, only actual staking resets that.

yes, there will be another wallet release. And by the end of this, if anyone wants to take me out back and shoot me, I'll understand.

Yeah, that's why I've posted it everywhere I can. The only saving grace is that the advantage they got yesterday just got destroyed, and people effected by this bug are the exact people that benefited from the last bug. So there is some balance at least I guess.

Make that more like 7 of the top 7. This could get a whole lot more interesting in an hour.

My next >1 coin block staked yesterday at 15:29 wallet time, so in about an hour for me before it is due again. I'm fine leaving the rest to stake until just before then I guess?
