ICO projects are still going through a difficult time. However, I would not say that they are now dead. Some of them still succeed in raising funds, although this happens very rarely. However, they can still be reanimated if the states finally start regulating this type of activity and the level of fraud among them drops significantly. However, the states are not in a hurry to do this, and the process of adopting new laws is not that quick.

Nope, ICOs are dead and they will never return to their 2017 fame. However, the scammers are always sneaky and clever in finding other ways to create scammy "crowdfunding" crypto projects and HYIP pyramids. It has been  proven a long time ago that the stupid people will always lose their money in the end, with or without crypto scams and ICOs.

There is no question that the crowdfunding platform called as ICO has already lost its luster, credibility and viability after all the scams and failures that exploded in 2018 and 2018. Now, the investing public is looking for a more secure and safer arrangement. Towards the end of 2018, there are those who floated the STO option as a means to get back investors back to the game. Right now, many projects are doing the IEO thing or similar offering by doing it with exchanges which has become attractive for the many since the coin/token can easily be traded right away. While I strongly believe in crowdfunding using cryptocurrency and the blockchain, there must be security and protection in check especially in favor of the buying public. We can never continue on believing that token buyers will just close their eyes and let go the scams without hurting the very industry we are in. Yes, there is a chance that many scams can be coming since bitcoin is having a bull run. Scammers can detect when people will be more interested and can be easily swayed to agree with their projects. We have to be careful.

Lol, some people's comments are quite funny, how they think they are safe wiht the IEO. you're not even sure about that, and anything can happen. A project that seems good can today can turn out to be a scam tomorrow, you never know all these, they do happen. I have seen a lot of projects that started out as being legit but at the end they turned to something else. Even ICO ends today, scammers are still going think of other ways they can continue their work of getting people scammed. It's all about knowing the projects you choose and the team behind it.

The only project that one is safe with in the market for now are Bitcoin and Ethereum, and every other projects be it ICO or IEO can only try their best to make it work too, because even the developers of those projects only believe that the project will survive but are not completely sure of its success due to the weak products they have.

Few projects that I think can still fall in the league of projects that can manage to push to some years are just the ones at the top coinmarketcap. So, I agree with you that because its IEO,doesn’t make it a successful project, they will start their project well, but ending well becomes issue for them as they can no longer manager it in a proper way any longer.

Last year, there really were a lot of scam ICOs, but now investors have become more cautious. IEO appeared instead of ICO, which is a safer way of investing in new coins at the expense of a guaranteed project audit by the auditors of the exchange that launches IEO.
