Was that for the Round Thursday Game 2? Because it looks like you did, in fact, win that one after all.

Edit: Forgot to mention the site is back!

No, it was not the round Thursday Game 2. It was the round *No1*MEGAMASSIVE_POT.

...And I made my deposit 0.5BTC to your address 115zjX3F5wFwB2jJEPSWdaz9M5PAgDRRNy
[2012-05-12 09:24:59 UTC] >in time of more than one hour before the round ends.
http://www.blockchain.info/address/115zjX3F5wFwB2jJEPSWdaz9M5PAgDRRNy

...And my payout address was 11A4kzh156qP2jXmGt94UEcob6ogk7cCh

But howewer, I did not win anything.  Embarrassed

Someone wins. Many rounds.
The one who won, was 1kTt7jVHZ614g44LEjS1HtxHYpzE96Lkk
[which is also mentioned in this thread "Wallet just got emptied":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=80933.msg895669#msg895669]

I also think, and I assume that your server has been compromised. What do you think?

So I lost [at least] my 9.82+ BTC jackpot,
and my interest in this matter due to the fact that I created the round *No1*MEGAMASSIVE_POT  Grin

Well, finally, my simple question is: What are you going to do about this?  Huh

At one point early yesterday (my time), the Bitcoinduit alerter died and deposits were not going toward the proper destination. One of my partners took the site offline until the matter could be addressed so that more players would not send their deposits into a black hole, as yours was. I've already refunded two other deposits that didn't make it to the Round they were aimed at and will happily refund your 0.5 BTC to the address of your choosing, as well.

Someone wins. Many rounds.
The one who won, was 1kTt7jVHZ614g44LEjS1HtxHYpzE96Lkk
[which is also mentioned in this thread "Wallet just got emptied":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=80933.msg895669#msg895669]

During the time the site was inaccessible, some Rounds expired. The last player to make a successful deposit to each expired Round won the jackpot for that Round. The owner of 1kTt7jVHZ614g44LEjS1HtxHYpzE96Lkk has been very active at Bitcoinduit, so it should come as no surprise that that person won some of the Rounds that expired while no one else was able to make a deposit. As far as I am aware, no one at Bitcoinduit either knows or cares where that player gets his/her BTC from.

I also think, and I assume that your server has been compromised. What do you think?

We have no reason to believe our server has been compromised. No coins have been stolen. The only thing that happened was that some deposits did not make it to the Rounds they were meant for and, consequently, some Rounds ended in a manner that was not intended. This was a glitch and it has been addressed.

So I lost [at least] my 9.82+ BTC jackpot,
and my interest in this matter due to the fact that I created the round *No1*MEGAMASSIVE_POT  Grin

What you lost was your deposit of 0.5 BTC and your chance at winning the 9.82 BTC jackpot, as did everyone else who might have made a deposit while the site was offline. Just because you might have created that Round does not guarantee that you would have won its jackpot. You are mistaken to assume that you would have won if the game had continued uninterrupted. It is just as likely that you might have sunk more money into it and still lost. This glitch may have saved you money.

Well, finally, my simple question is: What are you going to do about this?  Huh

I will gladly refund your deposit of 0.5 BTC to the bitcoin address of your choosing.

Still around.

Yeah, it's one of those unknown variables.  Smiley  At first I was a little upset that I lost some money in one of the games, but then, as pointed out, perhaps the game ending abruptly might have saved me money since I was debating sending another coin into the fray in hopes of keeping the game open. I do not want my money back.

The point is that I do not understand.
If the site says "round is open, the round ends after one-two-three hours".

Now, I make a deposit.

Deposit does not appear anywhere ever. [except in the site owner's wallet]  Undecided

Then the round ends [without my deposit]. I lose my money, of course.

However, I am the last who deposited before the round ends!
Well, fair play, eh...?

Someone else might say to such a scam... Not me, because I am a nice person  Grin

The site has been around for a while, so it wasn't a scam.  Just an unfortunate turn of events.  I "lost" 3 coins from the crash, but I won't lose any sleep over it Smiley   I say "lost" in quotes because I calculated that by the end of the game I should have had an ROI, but who knows, maybe the game wouldn't have had any more participants.  Smiley

Edited due to a later post in the thread.  I've been soured by two server/app crashes that have resulted in my loss of about 8 bitcoins.  Especially in a strong game that was paying a lot of people, and then suddenly it ends and no way to keep the timer resetting and loss of several coins. Sad

You just had the bad luck of sending a deposit while the site wasn't working properly but before we noticed it. You attempted to make a deposit but the site ate it instead, which we take full responsibility for. As I mentioned, I'll be glad to refund you the 0.5 BTC.

There are several things you seem to be overlooking:

  • The 0.5 BTC you sent did not make it to the Round so was not counted as a "deposit" in the game.
  • How do you know you were the only person to send bitcoin to that Round only to have it disappear? Someone else may have also tried to deposit after you, which, according to your logic, would make them the rightful winner.
  • Then the round ends [without my deposit]. I lose my money, of course.
All that was lost was your intended deposit. I hope you aren't claiming that the jackpot was yours before the Round ended.

Still around.

Again, the site did not process your bitcoin properly so what you sent was not counted as a deposit toward the game. I'm sorry but I don't know how to be any clearer than that.

The jackpot for Round *No1*MEGAMASSIVE_POT has already been won and paid out. I'm sorry that the site provided you with an invalid payment address for your deposit but the fact of the matter is, you did not win this game.

The amount displayed is rounded off to 2 decimal places. I believe the amount in the pot is actually closer to 0.198.
