Discussions and questions about this technology all over the place and it looks like there are different ways to do it.

Of course these technologies are pretty old and there are a lot of ways to create such images. Thanks for links but is there any example of real-time and photorealistic projection? Existent examples are far away from photorealistic and were demonstrated during the nighttime only. I doubt that it's possible  to create a dynamic, giant & photorealistic 3D projection nowadays.

What did they really see in that split-second? I've seen testimonials of people who say they saw a grey military plane with no windows (which might be an evidence of a low-detail/low-resolution hologram), I've also seen testimonials which appear planted, on par with "Russian army is marching though Ukraine" ones.

People can be made to believe they saw something; there was an interesting documentary that I watched a few years back, where a group of people was lead to believe they were witnesses to a crime and that they could recall all the details, that in reality were not there.

The most damning evidence here are not the humans, but the physics, the interaction of materials, or rather lack thereof. Because the next thing they'll be telling is that it's possible to destroy centimetre-thick steel support columns with millimetre-thin aluminium soda cans, if only they are accelerated fast enough.
