Satellite internet ping and local pool

Hello:

We have a local pool using viper optics with ping between 100-200ms.

We need to transfer our equipment to a place which we have no access to internet by regular ways except Satellite internet.

The ping from Satellite is about 800ms.

We need to know if this will effect the pool performance or not?

And what is the best pool software to use which help us reduce the effect of high ping?

Satellite internet is absolutely terrible for mining due to the high latency it has I'm afraid.

You will get 4-8x more stales on Satellite than your current connection (100-200ms vs 800ms).  That is how your performance is affected by latency.  There's no way to change that via software/pool choice.

You may end up even worse off than that, since most satellite connections are rarely able to hold an 800ms ping, they frequently go above that in my experience.

Then it is better to stick with our current connection and make a wireless network using nano station which can give us a 10 km distance and that is enough to connect between our current location and the new connection (The distance is about 5 km).

Do you think wireless connection can put more than 10 ms on our current ping?

especially considering that distance. much more than +10ms
