Hey guys,

We are loose leaf tea merchants that operate mostly in farmer's markets.
We are trying to see if people are willing to use the micro payment service known as changetip, to purchase HQ loose leaf tea directly on twitter.

The problems we are facing are pretty obvious,

1- People are not used to shopping on twitter and are not likely to trust a twitter account as an eshop
2- We are asking our customers  to message us their shipping address via direct message on twitter, again people are used to giving this information at checkout in an online store, but feel uneasy sending a twitter account this information.

Any advice on what we could do, would you share people's stigmata on these two issues mentioned above

All our thanks
Anthony,

Actually that's a great idea for any business offering products with a smallish price tag.

I think you guys are going about it the wrong way, Twitter imho isn't the best platform to target your business due to the high amount of spam; it is however a great platform for quick updates & keeping your customers informed of any new events.

You should try setting up a Instagram account and targeting all of the fitness/health-conscious people and promote your product on their pictures. Once you have a steady amount of followers, Then you should move over to Facebook and have a more central customer base.

Lastly i noticed you were using Etsy, while it may be semi-popular not alot of people have heard about it, Try Amazon/eBay or even setting up your own SSL encrypted website - so your customers can feel 'safe'. Best of luck!
