What is the best platform for bit coin trading? I am willing to start with 5-10 BTC.

I am thinking about Kraken or Bitstamp, what do you guys prefer? Which have less fees? Was thinking about cex.io as well.

Is there any bots available for those platforms?

Let me know.

One word: Bitfinex. It's not just lowest trading fees, it's a ton of options you will not use right from the start, like margin trading, but you may like very much later. If you find Bitfinex too complicated use BTC-E, it has decent fees and simple but useful user interface. Avoid Bitstamp if you can, fees are outrageous.

Thee fees on stamp are high but the more volume you generate the lower the fees will get. It's more a whale garden nowadays.

I would suggest BTC-E as they don't require any verification, they won't ask for anything if you try to withdraw BTC, etc.

He said he will start with 5-10 BTC, and the fees get to the level of other exchanges if you make monthly USD volume > $150,000. For beginners fees are 2.5x - 5x bigger than the competition. Stay away from Bitstamp, people use it not for everyday trading but to take 1-time large amounts of money to/from bitcoin ecosystem.

As you can see I suggested BTC-E which is perfectly fine for beginners, and also very trustworthy.

But there are other exchanges with lower fees, Bitfinex is also a good one.

It depends. If you plan to buy low and sell high you should take a good look at all exchanges first.
