Surprised I couldn't find a thread on this already (if there is one, feel free to close this one.)

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/tp0xt/dwolla_changes_tos_to_prohibit_bitcoin/

Part of me is glad that they are about to lose a huge chunk of their userbase, because after the fraud they committed against Tradehill (and several other exchanges) it seems like none of us should be using them anyway.

OTOH, I am not surprised a lot of people in the US still use them with MtGox, just because the fees are so low.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Just got off the phone with dwolla and the reps stated that mtgox transactions will still be allowed for personal clients. She stated that the language was added for merchants.

I guess I will call them tonight and let them know I no longer see any value in their service.  Maybe MintChip will be the next way to get BTC?
