Triangles was launched on July 16th, 2014 in the middle of the shitcoin era.
After a promising start, the blockchain got stuck when Triangles switched from hybrid PoW/PoS to PoS only after a few days.
The original developer abandoned TRI about 2 weeks after the launch, claiming the reason for the stalled blockchain was not his but a community failure.
A bunch of BTCtalk members took over.

Since then the wallet was completely reworked and migrated to Qt5, secure messaging was introduced and a unique faucet was developed.
A new TRI home, a block explorer and a hardcoded seednode add to the list of community developments.

bootstrap.dat (792077 blocks - September 19th, 2017)

How to use the bootstrap file:

Extract the bootstrap.dat from the downloaded bootstrap archive.
Copy or move it to "%appdata%\roaming\triangles" (Windows) or "~/Library/Application Support/triangles/" (Mac).
Create the folder if it doesn't exist. Start the downloaded wallet and wait until your wallet has imported the bootstrap.
This may take a few minutes depending on your system performance.
Your wallet should sync the remaining blocks without any further intervention via the hardcoded seednode.
