why does SIN have 2 blocks of 4999 shr @ .75 btc up on the board? It should be noted that when someone places an order to buy or sell it's posted to twitter. But when that order is cancelled nothing is posted to twitter. The reason for this is to allow people to see the activity on the exchange without cluttering it up too much. In the future when there is more activity then it might only list trades.

Pretty cool that there are already 4 companies being traded. I wonder what's with all of them eager to pay dividends right from the start though, not a good idea for such tiny companies in my opinion. Btw, will we see GLBSE going public at some point?

They're all brand new companies by people who have little or no experience heading up brand new companies. They're not going to travel the well worn path, namely because they don't know where it is.

The contracts say that we have to pay out profits as dividends, not that we have to pay out dividends. If we choose to reinvest all profits back into the company, then we don't pay any dividends.

We wont so much be doing an IPO, we've already set up and have our own shareholers.
What we will be doing is using our exchange to give possetion of shares to our shareholder, also making it easy for us to manage voting.
So although we won't be selling shares to the public (as a company), our members (current shareholder) will be able to sell their shares whenever they like.
