Dev, have I fixed it? Please see below:

Solution to fix "assert failure GetNextWorkRequired":

main.cpp lines 923-926 need to be replaced with the below:

const CBlockIndex* pindexFirst = pindexLast;
for (int i = 0; pindexFirst->pprev && i < nInterval-1; i++)
    pindexFirst = pindexFirst->pprev;
assert(pindexFirst);

Our pool is up and working: http://echo.altpooler.com/

EDIT:
If you need me to setup a node, PM me asap.

your this pool ,it's which pool ? no give echo coin ,

your this pool ,it's which pool ? no give echo coin ,

See my updated post. We were finding blocks but they do not go into the daemon. There is something critically wrong with this coin's source.

GlobalBoost-Y (BSTY) Pool: http://bsty.altpooler.com
Gapcoin - The largest, decentralized prime gap search https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=822498.0

Beta launch of our new mining pool is currently scheduled for January 5, 2015.

We will feature Unitus merged mining for the yescrypt algorithm upon launch.

If you are a CPU miner and would like to help test our yescrypt merged mining implementation, please send me a PM for stratum connection details.

Thanks for pointing us in the right way. Source will be fixed and once tested we'll see if we can coordinate a relaunch.
Ill make sure you get rewarded for your contribution. Sorry for the inconvenience.

EDIT: Nevermind, doesn't work. Stratum found blocks, but blocks do not go into the daemon.

agreed - same problem on lifeforce pools - I gave up after 30 minutes of trying to get it to work - in the future devs...please enlist some of the pools to assist in your testnet ahead of time to insure a smooth launch - I believe I speak for all pool owners that we would prefer to expend  some hash up front testing in lieu of sitting around for 30 minutes pressing the F5 key on the OP and then only to be dissappointed by code that doesn't work and then have to go back and tell all the miners who pre-registered with us the bad news.

what you fail to recognize is that a lot of miner rent equipment for these launches and now they're out hard cash and have a really bad taste in their mouth for you and your coin.

it's a shame because this could all have been avoided. you're not working in a vacuum - there's a big community out here willing to help to insure a smooth launch

Relaunch will be planned for the end of next week, exact date will be announced later. We will make sure wallets and source will be provided to pools in time in an attempt to not make the same mistake again.

Switching miners from 1 coin to another takes seconds, but the learning curve as a dev is steep..

Have fun with that..  I'll be watching the re-launch, as I help to get ready to switch algo's on another coin.  Wink
