I keep trying to search for homes or other real estate / major purchases that have been made with bitcoin, but I just keep getting isolate articles about one home for sale in India or one house that sold in Utah. Has any person or site been keeping track of this sort of thing? I mean, how many homes have been purchased with Bitcoin so far: 10? 100?
Thanks for your help, everybody.

The only house that I know of that was sold for btc is the one from the speculation section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=508254.0

There may be others, but it's probably not more than the fingers on your hand.

Not sure how true it is, but some news show showed some dude that bought a half million dollar home and fully paid for it with bitcoins. Anybody know who this dude might be? I'm almost certain I've seen him at a conference once, but after a while all them conference-goers all start looking the same.

Real estate purchases via bitcoin are few and far between. Not only that but more or less all RE transactions that involve bitcoin also involve bitpay which means the seller is converting the bitcoin into fiat right away which means that it is not a "true" bitcoin transaction but rather one in which the buyer did not want to utilize the exchanges so they paid bitpay directly and caused the seller to take on the credit risk associated with working with bitpay

Single figures still, I would imagine. While luxury real estate has been periodically offered on this forum and elsewhere, I have heard of maybe one confirmed transaction that has happened

I would think the number of transactions actually completed with bitcoin to be able to be counted on one hand. You are correct that very few real estate sales occur with bitcoin and the likely reason is that bitcoin is no where nearly widely used enough for someone to make a good use for bitcoin so they would need to sell it which would add to their costs
