Is someone knows the number of nonempty wallet up to date? Is there any kind of historical or statistics for this? I'm just curious about the bitcoin evolution of users since the beginning.

Nope, you can't pinpoint that number. Anyone could generate a address offline, and nobody would be wiser. you can only determine number of addresses with coins.

I don't think "wallet" means what you think it does.  There is no possible way to know the number of wallets (empty or not).

As far as unspent outputs, sure the info is available in every node of the network.

Oops, was checking the forum in my bed with phone.  Embarrassed
I think either blockchain.info or block explorer has this data, but I can't check them in a timely fashion now.  Damn this small screen I'm peeking at.

OK I understand. But do you know where  I can find these numbers and if someone makes any stats with them?

642432 addresses with non-zero balance as of block 177778. Bitcoind holds this data, and you can query it by using specialized patches. I'll search around for that once I get to my computer.

Check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=88584.0 for a tool to parse those statistics(and some others).
