I want to purchase 1 btc or so via PayPal. I have funds left in there that I need to use. I have pretty good feedback  if that means anything. Thanks!

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

do a thorough search for what it is that you are looking for, you will see very many thread and hundreds of posts dedicated to the subject.

the bottom line is, buying btc with paypal is bad, and selling btc with paypal is worse

although paypal has acknowledged btc, and has indicated integration plans they have not implemented them as of yet and are still arbitrarily
freezing accounts (buyers and sellers of bitcoins and bitcoin related products and services).

so don't be too surprised if you don't get the opportunity to make a purchase of btc with your paypal balance.
