Anyone interested in buying a 3d printer for BTC?

http://diamondage.co.nz/product-category/3d-printers/
https://www.facebook.com/pages/DiamondAge/143321512395733?fref=nf

This will be for a new Mako or Moa printer shipped straight from the factory.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

That's a pretty darned pricey printer even with the slightly larger than average build envelope.

What software is it running? what slicing software? The site says shipping only to NZ, will you be offering shipping to other countries?
Are these open sourced or closed source software?

I am a 3d printer enthusiast and currently own 2 printers (and building a 3rd) and the first I paid under $1500 shipped and it's Dual-extrusion capable.
Just offering up my experience in buying and operating 3d printers....I've made a bad buying decision when I first got into my own 3d printing hardware.

The firmware is a DiamondAge fork of repetier (http://www.repetier.com/) and Slic3r for making the files (http://manual.slic3r.org/)

RE Shipping: http://diamondage.co.nz/help/faq/#FAQ-7  They do ship worldwide but this is a separate quote per country.

The software and the hardware are both open source.

These are competitively priced for the NZ market and as you say they do have a larger bed than normal.   Unfortunately shipping will add extra cost when sending overseas.

Very nice. Open source is a must these days and Repetier in combination with Slic3r makes for a great setup.
