I don't think so. Androids have far more game library and is more open for normal users as they don't have to jailbreak to install their own apps. Also, Android phones typically have much more ram space and new features. IPhone just change the CPU, screen size and OS for most of their new phone. Android have more competition between different brands. They have far more new features per new release of flag ship device. I personally prefer HTC  more due to their durability and build quality. You don't see much premium real metal feels with good camera. Samsung wins my votes in this comparison.

Do you like your iphone? hardware improves as the newer models are released. sure we can knit pick this, but essentially with each release the device is better.

I have both.

that said, use what you like. if you've never had an android based smartphone -- try one.

both are proven devices and both are great.

as long as you are not considering a windows phone or a blackberry (do they still exist?) you'll be fine.

just think about how you will be using it and what other devices you have around you.

I'll voice this opinion loudly and clearly, anyone who would opt for iPhone instead of a Samsung/Sony/etc device (high-end) is not really a smart person.

This is not the Windows vs Apple argument.

Both Android and IOS have their place in the world. Both have their pros and their cons and both are necessary.

I own both use both and love both.

I am an absolute lover of both Apple and Google products and am in a very fortunate position to own both companies product.


The bottomline is this:  WE NEED BOTH COMPANIES! Without this competition there is no progress.

Furthermore --- and in relation to this forum: Neither company is doing anything about the progression of Bitcoin.

I work with and personally own both. Rotate between an iPhone 5s, Samsung S5, Galaxy Note 3, and another Samsung device strictly for development.

Personally, prefer using the iPhone as my "mission critical" primary device, and use my Samsungs as a backup/dev/work/tinkering device.

Prefer web browsing on my Note 3 for to the larger display, using the pen for finer navigation.

I would suggest you to buy samsung for some reasons. both operating systems are equally good but the advantage in android is u can have open source applications which unfortunately IOS doesn't allows u. IOS is restricted or bounded in some manners and the battery time of samsung is way better than the iphone

I have an HTC One M8 personally. Has been a blast to use so far and has a really really good low light camera. Not a big fan of Apple or the Iphones but I played around with a friend's 6+ for a bit and liked a camera a lot. Gotta give it to the for making a good camera phone despite the inferior overall specs compared to Android smartphones.

Saying that the iPhone is the obvious winner is not the 'I like this phone/OS' story. People need to clearly state what they mean.

Me too. And the thing I especially like is the stability. Android devices will crash more often than Apple devices. Untill I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 I haven't experienced any trouble, now sometimes some apps close suddently because they're not ready for iOS 8 yet, but that's very rare.

I've had Android devices before I bought an iPhone, and now I will not switch again to Android anymore. Its simplicity is great, and what I especially like is thus the stability. It will Always work like you want (and won't leave you in the dark).
