You think the Voltage i use is to high? I heared from another person that iam using a quit high voltage for this
I think you should try 800 max voltage and see how it runs.  Should be about as fast and a bit cooler.  You can also add a fan to the bottom of the U3 to help cool it, here's mine:

Code:
[U]SB management [P]ool management [S]ettings [D]isplay options [Q]uit
 0: AU3 0       : 225MHz 775mV            | 56.95G / 55.49Gh/s WU:775.3/m
 1: AU3 1       : 225MHz 775mV            | 56.23G / 55.36Gh/s WU:772.6/m

is good?

They do zombie every 24 hours i have to power on/off though..
Yes, that looks good, although we could tell more if you did:
Code:
[D]isplay w[I]descreen
then we could see your accepted shares and errors.  Zombie is normal for the U3, I suggest you check out the R1 as a controller and get it from CrazyGuy with his custom firmware, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=612390.0, it basically solves the zombie problem.

Using the latest CGminer on linux compiled from git with --enable-icarus, I use --au3-freq 250 --au3-volt 810, which gets me a stable ~63ghs, without getting more than warm to the touch.

I've had a couple of zombie moments in the last week which seem to be precipitated by pool reboots. Might be coincidental!

it looks like one of my U3 is dead:

- no hashing at all
- the red LED that used to blink when hashing is now permanently ON
- U3 is detected in windows/Linux
- windows cgminer sees it but says there's no drivers even though zadig has been installed
- linux: cgminer -n sees it, cgminer --benchmark just hangs....

I swapped power and USB cable with the same result

Bitminter doesn't support the U3

Cgminer will work just fine, but you need to install the zadig driver before, check the post I linked earlier Smiley

You're using cgminer 4.9.* ?

You can run

Cgminer -n (to list current devices)
Cgminer --benchmark (to test the device)

You can try reinstalling zadig drivers as administrator maybe.
You have the 2 solid Red LED on your U3 ?

Have you read the manual? It lists the following command (but I've edited out the pool options - see if that works, and then add the pools from inside CGMiner and then 'w'rite the config file when it's up and running):

cgminer --bmsc-options 115200:0.54 --bmsc-voltage 0830 --bmsc-freq 0982

The voltage/freq values can be modified according to the tables listed in the manual, but stick with the given ones for the moment.

Just to be sure, you are hitting the windows key, typing 'cmd' and using the command line that way?

The bsmc option has been deprecated a while ago.

Cgminer --benchmark should detect and hash at 56Ghs if the zadig driver has been installed and the device visible with cgminer -n.

Cgminer ReadMe lists the new options for the U3
(--au3-freq or something like this)

If I remember right, cgminer defaults to --au3-freq 225 and --au3-volt 775, so no need to add that in "yet".

Also I think there was a problem where cgminer 4.9.1 (or was it 4.9.0) did not work with the U3's for some, so philspain make sure you are using cgminer 4.9.2.

And lastly (anyone else that has tried), didn't Windows 10 change something, to where zagdig would not work???
