Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

That's a shame as its an early order and you'd be well in profit if it was delivered right now. Have a trawl through the custom hardware threads (once you're out of newbie jail) to see if anyone can give advice https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0

Has anyone obtained their pre-ordered 500GH/S BFL ASIC shipments to date? I would be scared.... particularly with the repeated missed deadlines...

Hope it all works out for the best  Shocked

Yes you should be worried everything involving ASICS are scammy..

never heard one person that ordered Avalons asic saying "they scammed me"..

i wouldnt trust bfl tho, i don't know if they delivered anything or not but I always had a bad feeling about them and didn't order anything.. even if bfl delivers their customers are already screwed by waiting for it so long. BFL are rich and laughing id say.

I heard BitFury is building asic too, that he has a proven history of his works and he knows what he is doing.
