11:18  @DeltaNineDev    • I will continue to due my findings of these 25 wallets in question: We are giving the person whos coins these are 2 weeks to claim them before we invalidate the addresses so they cannot be spent on the CANN network.
 11:18  @DeltaNineDev    • do not due
 11:18                   • pollystripe [5c2bbcac@gateway/web/cgi-irc/kiwiirc.com/ip.92.43.188.172] has quit IRC
11:18   amnesiac_       • If they are invalidated what is the total coin supply then?
 11:18  @DeltaNineDev    • 12.5m in those wallets
11:19  @DeltaNineDev    • those will be invalidated in the source

That's far more troubling than just letting them sit there.  The dev has no right to invalidate anyone's coins.

Whats the alternative? As I said in IRC if the owner ever does step up we can revert the change and those coins will be spendable but I personally feel that protecting current investors and dispelling the scam claims is pretty important atm.

This will give ccn no basis for continued attacks against cann.

Well...invalidating is no answer. We need an explanation!

a) Where do these coins come from? D9 is the only dev and simply has to be able to answer that question.

b) If those coins are legit - on which basis are they invalidated? Because the owner just sits on them? Thats wrong - it's stealing!

The alternative is to leave people's coins alone.  If someone wants to leave them sitting there and not identify themselves, they have every right to do that.

I'm 100% against invalidating those coins. I think it's an awful, terrible move and the worst possible path.

that is drawback to crypto, its the crypto part. finding out who owns them is not easy. if it can even be done.

I agree eso. In 6 months the coins have not even been claimed! It could be a mining pool that shut down or some miners who sold their hardware or some large-scale miner who passed away, who knows. It seems very likely that the coins would have never been claimed. If these people/person know of these coins but never claimed them, surely they are watching the CANN market the last week and will see posts informing them to claim their coins now. If somebody does come running in a few months down the road with the proper validating information then they can have their coins returned.

This is likely the best option, and D9 is correct in making it. Otherwise he faces months of harassment in IRC and BCT

If this was a scam these guys are nuts. Their pictures and place of business all over the internet? I'm finding everything hard to believe. I'm finding both scam and not scam hard to believe. My head hurts.

Not involved in CANN in anyway and sold mine by chance at apparently the perfect time.

"what about these coins? premine? - fud"
but then again..
"deleting these coins is not adequate"

so? if someone did not claim them and D9 is getting this ridiculous shitstorm, I would say:

Call out for the dude(s) to claim the coins in a defined time span. If no one is answering, leave them where they are. Everybody knows where they are. But to be sure this argument can not be recycled in the future, the coins should be made unavailable.

If you insist on D9 giving answers to questions he may not know but simultaneously insinsting on not to invalidate the coins, then the discussions end is well beyond horizon.

All completely wrong.

D9 has to explain where these coins come from and why he sent those 25 first(!) transactions of the new blockchain to these addresses in quantities of 500k each! We are speaking about ~50% of all coins at that time.

Those coins have to be accounted for in the old blockchain - so this simply HAS to be resolvable.

Invalidating those coins would require a hard fork. You don't want to get into that.

I asked about these a long, long time ago, and just figured they were stashed for something. They came from block 1. The pre-mine of x11. I am not part of any other cannabis related coin. I just want a straight answer.

They are not from a miner, they were part of the pre-mine and they came from block 1 address.

Personally, I'm completely fine with never knowing who owns them.  It doesn't really matter.

They've always been there, they've always been a risk factor, regardless of if they're owned by the dev or Satoshi himself.

Masses of coins are always a risk to markets, you just learn to deal with that or you don't.

Knowing the owner doesn't change the risk even the tiniest bit.

One thing we know is that it isn't a "hidden" premine, since it's, you know, always been public.

So did I not post the truth about a serious concern in the protocol and management of this coin?

Fud of Fact? You decide.

Secondly, invalidating coins on the protocol is stealing from the ones who generated the coins from their efforts in the program. Not crypto at all...

Everyone can read between the lines and I leave it up to them to make that decision.

Yes, we certainly can read between the lines.

You and your FUD team came here during a price drop and spammed the same thing over and over, in two different threads and even created your own thread.

Working as hard as your little fingers could cut and paste to create a panic and drive the price even further down.

Yeah, reading between the lines isn't hard at all.

You're a simple garden variety FUDster.
