This service is now closed as of 3/8/2013.
Closing message: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=82983.msg1609716#msg1609716

Bitcoin to Cash LLC is offering the following services to the public:

  • Cash in the mail
  • Cash transfers to any valid U.S. Bank account(a Wells Fargo service)
  • Cash deposits at your bank(if available in the area)(list below)

If mailing cash, it's usually mailed in less than 24 hours and received within 3 days. I purchase a Certificate of Mailing for all mail sent.  This extra cost is covered by us.  If you would like any additional mailing options added, just let me know.

Cash transfers just require a name (to verify I'm sending to the right person) and an email address, account number(Wells Fargo only), or a cell phone number.  The email address or cell phone must be registered with your bank account.  Registration or manual acceptance of the funds may be required.

Cash deposits usually require name and account number atleast.  Some banks require more information like the address on the account.

Fee: 4%

Exchange price: Mt. Gox Last!

What banks are in your area available for cash deposit?
Here's what I know of:
  • Bank of the West
  • BBVA Compass
  • Canyon Community Bank
  • Chase Bank
  • Great Western Bank
  • Pima Federal Credit Union
  • Pyramid Credit Union
  • Sunwest Federal Credit Union
  • Tucson Federal Credit Union
  • Tucson Telco Federal Credit Union
  • U.S. Bank
  • Vantage West Credit Union
  • Washington Federal

Why should I trust you?
You shouldn't trust any one on the internet.  At least you won't have to worry about the "I got hacked" excuse. We've been operating for over 9 months and have had over $100,000 in trades with no negative feedback.

Do you have an OTC rating?
No I do not. However, my current list of exchanges between other forum members and myself is down below.

How soon will you send the money?
I expect to post it within 24 hours of when the BTC is received.

What happens if USPS loses the envelope?
There's a very slim chance this may happen.  Even with certified mail and delivery confirmation doesn't guarantee an item from loss.  I can't be held responsible for USPS's mistake, however I will do everything I can to help find where the envelope is after enough time has passed to consider it missing. Since we've began operating, no packages have been lost.  We recommend shipping via USPS Priority.  For about $5 you get free tracking and 2nd-day shipping.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Without delivery confirmation it would be quite possible for an unscrupulous operator to "lose" about 5% of the orders.  This would provide a handsome profit and a stream of "worked for me!" trust/referrals.

Would you possibly be doing delivery confirmation (or certificate of mailing?)?

On the other hand, over the long run, even with a 4% fee + a 5% risk of loss, this cashout method remains competitive with other methods where transaction privacy is desired.

Yes, we have to be very trusting of the postal service to deliver.  I'm fine with adding certified mail or delivery confirmation.  Either option would be a little extra.  It looks like it is $1.15 for a Certificate of Mailing or $2.95 for Confirmation of Delivery.  If anyone wishes to add either option, I will add it to the fee.  I may consider just raising the fee to cover the Certificate of Mailing and do it for all orders.

Currently, I am only going to do the one direction.  That may change in the future.

I was in talks with a forum user.  He asked if I would accept $52 in MtGox USD.  It took me a while to get what he meant as I can be slow at times, but I would do this trade too.  The same goes for MtGox BTC codes.

I don't typically carry a dwolla balance, but that can be arranged.

Sorry dude, but after "Bitcoin2Cash" ran out of funds (which was a full-fledged exchange site equivalent to MtGox), I've become very wary of doing cash-in-the-mail transactions for BTC.  Nothing personal against you tarrant, just warning others here to be careful, that's all.

No worries. I'm not expecting much.  I am not familiar with bitcoin2cash site or what happened.  I don't plan on accepting requests if I can't cover it. Again, simple as possible.

I lowered the fee by 1% and added details on costs of additional options.  Even though the fee has lowered it's still the same price basically with the postage added in.  Also added and additional FAQ question on the USPS losing the envelope.

I guess the question I had was, let's say the item is mailed with Delivery Confirmation request, but the item is never delivered?   Are there any guarantees?

USPS doesn't guarantee delivery even with delivery confirmation.

I've done a successful transaction with this individual. Fees are good I think, he responds and keep you posted on your coins and actually sends the money! He's totally legit, I'd use him repeatedly. Some of the easiest exchanges I've ever had. A+++
