Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

The main takeaway value here for the average reader is that we're in a rebuilding phase after the last bubble. No projections but all the underlying fundamentals are on the up and up.

The host is annoying tho. He talks so fast and being overboard with negative statement

"It would be interesting to see who dies first..."

The way that the guest was responding to the style of interview was very positive and productive. It seems as though the negativity was used to great effect in cutting straight to the hard facts underlying all of the usual glossy technical coolness of bitcoin. To get an idea of what happens when the interviewer doesn't challenge the guest and let's the conversation devolve into the usual marketing talk about idealistic scenarios, check out this interview of a bitcoin company CEO with Max Keiser:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3vcwPaxMus&t=14m21s

As you can clearly see, being negative can be a very good thing, lest you end up with nothing original to say nor to think.

edit: Looking at the comments people are leaving on the TC website, nearly all of them share you opinion. I think the interviewer went too far with his negativity at a couple points, and so I partially agree.

Yet, bitcoin is still a novelty in many ways. How can we be sure that bitcoin is not just a fad? “We are just seeing a classic hype cycle. The Internet in 2001, the NASDAQ crashed down. In many ways, bitcoin is the most exciting technology since the Internet, we think,” Armstrong said.

I think there's still a possibility it might be a fad (but with some longevity), but I still hope for the opposite and think it really could be the most exciting thing since the internet, but it's everyone else we've got to convince.

If it wasn't for the interviewee being someone I like to hear from (B. Armstrong) I would have stopped watching that video. That interviewer Alex Wilhelm needs to go, even if he thought 100% that bitcoin will fail, he was just plain rude an not entertaining to watch. He reminds me of childhood bullies with a better vocabulary.
