you need to read the alternate cryptocurrencies forum.

the answer is maybe.

I wouldn't but I might trade in sc on btc-e, though that is highly dependent on volume.

No.

ScamCoin price has gone up because the developer (who has absolute control over the next) cut the reward by 99.7%
Block reward is 0.07 SC.  No that isn't a typo.  You mine for nothing and early adopters (and those who have access to the 12M premine) get richer.

Well it is a great deal if you have a millions of easily obtained coins and you want to pump the value up on the backs of suckers/noobs.  Hopefully you already have a million ScamCoins? Smiley

But should you buy ScamCoins from us early adopters.  Yes. Yes, you should.  It is the only way you are getting any.

Not really.Too many changes have put me off SC as a long term investment/currency to mine.I used to mine lots last Aug,Sept when BTC diff was too damn high, now thanks to the changes in SC,I trust BTC more as hte changes give you plenty of notice before it affects you so yo have time to prepare yourself for them.I just wish I hadn't sold off 100's of SC so soon (last sept).Oh well.Least there are other alt chains to mine.Which other alt chain can be mined by GPU thats still viable?

Scamcoins are a Horrifying thing to mine,

12Million were PreMined before the block chain ever started
ScamCoinHunter (RealSolidShit) has 100% control over the network
the block reward has been Manually changed Atleast twice by now.

Scamcoins are worth Nothing.
He created 12million of them, Then released the Ripoff for people to "start the block chain" Altough he already had 12million/0 coins on the market
A very nice improper fraction

...not to mention the fact that RealSolid did unilaterally shut down the SolidCoin network for a few weeks last autumn.
It's unthinkable that one person should have such power over a crypto-currency system.
SolidCoin is neither free(1), nor decentralized, nor does it have any market foothold (care to guess why?).
In other words, it's a dud.

Yeah, good that you mention that:
RealSolid even stooped to stealing FREE CODE.
Seems that giving credit where credit was due was too much.
SC devs wanted to use the Bitcoin codebase but not give any credit to the hated Bitcoin itself Smiley

I found this marvellous piece of FUD and propaganda ludicrous.
RealSolid be a-waiting; a-waiting with his fingers crossed for the fall of Bitcoin...

He might as well be waiting for Godot for the fallout from Bitcoin's demise would destroy trust in all contemporary crypto-currency systems. His precious 12M premined coins would go for a dime in the ensuing firesale.

Just food for thought in case anyone actually wondered whether or not they should take SC seriously.

I really don't suggest mining them unless you want to earn like $2 and get others $100000
