iantunc, bottom line is if these guys were honest they wouldn't try to bury information like they've done by editing out the fork date in the ANN.. This kind of behaviour screams scam and if you can't hear it, it's because you don't want to listen.

presstab's response in this thread pretty much amounts to "oops, coulda woulda shoulda.. didn't know HYP would be so big" riiight.. He's the cliche super friendly leader in the trollbox, tipping people for the stupidest reasons etc. This is again typical scam behavior. Spend some time in the polo box and see how quick his attitude gets ugly when anyone questions his beloved HyperScam, and watch as the henchmen David & Co. begin to appear in the box to defend their shitcoin.

A scam is someones intended action(s) or lack of action(s) that leads to money loss of another person(s) in the interests of a scammer. Did you lose money from some actions? Can you prove it? Can you prove intended actions? Can you prove a malicious interest (stop repeating about unfair distribution, it's ridiculous). This kind of behavior tells everyone that you just want to insult this coin, finding any possible reason.

For information: if you notice something factually wrong here, please report it to me. Otherwise, let fudders give us free publicity; it is always appreciated to increase volume, which leads to lesser volatility and wider adoption, which in turn are fundamental for continuing experimenting on a grander scale.

David, when has any of your coins gained "wider adoption"?
How many coins have you had a hand in? Eleven? Does that sound about right?
All your coins are just made for exchanges. Everyone knows this, even your bagholders know this.
You're a cloner. That's it. You make money for yourself and your pals at the expense of the trusting, voiceless majority.
You're part of the disease that is holding back crypto.

No matter how many times you proclaim how important you are in crypto, no matter how many times you post links of your simple-minded comments to Polo's trollbox trying to impress some noob, people know who you are, David.

I know for a fact that even some members of the Monero team are embarrassed to be associated with you, David.

Yes, I'm a bagholder and I help this coin to grow and I'm not going to stop. We see this project as the part of the future (it's something you can't understand, because you think with archaic stereotypes, you even didn't read the materials).

Grow where? What future?
You are either a bagholder who hasn't realized his profit or just plain delusional.
Hyperstake isn't going anywhere. Its developers and cronies made over a 1000% in profit based on a simple fork.
When people buy Hyperstake, they are just giving David, you and other bagholders pure profit.
Which credible merchant will be crazy enough to use this coin as a payment option?
Which credible investor will be crazy enough to invest in a coin with a shady dev with a bagful of other coins around his belt?
If crypto is regulated like stocks, David and the lot of you will be rotting in jail by now.

This took an unexpected twist. I am unaware of David's other conquests...

It's the new word in cryptocurrency emission. It will replace ecologically unfriendly PoW mining with PoS mining, it will replace $10k miners that get outdated in 2 months. I won't go deep in details, I see no reasons to open your wide open eyes. It's you going anywhere, we are inventors. No one of us makes 1000% profits, may be except of some allowance.
I won't open you our plans about merchants. It's obvious that you are a rival.
People like you make devs to be shady.
Crypto isn't regulated like stocks, it's commodity in US, like matchboxes. If you don't like our matchboxes, don't buy them. You are also aware of risks of buying it. There are also no guarantees, that you won't have loss from this purchase. Don't forget about defamation.

Could someone translate the OP's allegation to me? I really don't understand...what is his point?

Disclaimer: I don't own any HYP, I am just trying to understand.

I apologize if I wasn't clear..

The point is that the coin distribution is fraudulent. Forking a coin into a new one is fine, the issue here is that these guys KNEW they were going to fork TRK days/weeks beforehand..  yet they only posted the ANN hours before the actual fork was to happen. This means that for days/weeks, the scammers knew any TRK they owned would entitle them to free HYP, and were free to accumulate TRK unnoticed...

I don't see how this is any different than releasing a cpu only coin, while the devs have a GPU miner.

Thanks for answering but that much was obvious. I just don't really see how this qualifies as a scam. Get real. There are real scammers here, real criminals. Make yourself useful and try to find them instead of going all hysterical on some not-so-important coin, no offense.

Same goes for that Canadian clown.

Anyway sorry I wasted your time (and mine)

Thank you David for your gracious presence. Doublespeak much?

maybe you just read what you wanted to read. I quoted cycoinminer.

haha - my quotes are becoming famous now eh?

David was just quoting what I wrote, just in a slightly different way I see..... I was writing my gains in fiat, but in all fairness I've sold next to nothing of my interest anyway.

Personally, I got into HYP because I saw the ANN on HYP early on - at the time I was doing a LOT of reading of the threads, and also I'd seen David & Presstab's work before and was impressed by their maturity and development skills.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637785.msg7697257#msg7697257

This gives you an idea how early I got into HYP.

There was NEVER any hiding the fact where HYP came from. Ever. Just because it wasn't mentioned 24/7, doesn't mean it wasn't there, although the early days it was discussed a lot.... people were making sure they had their TRK in their own wallets before the fork - I remember it well.

Like every coin, there's going to be winners, and losers. It's all a matter of timing, when you choose to invest, on what grounds you make those decisions, etc etc..... I've bought some total crap before I put a little bit of money into HYP.
Has it been my best investment to date? Definitely.
Can I retire from it? No.

TruckCoin ? ahhahahha
nice find i had no idea..

This is just a classic example of not doing your own research. Plain and simple. Oh well......

Quote
This took an unexpected twist. I am unaware of David's other conquests...

i was saying this before and it's obvious regardless if you pin down EXACTLY which coin name(s) is his.. it don't matter.
this is called deception.
for every new clone/fork (change it just enough to call it a fork) he will change his name/alias and start the whole hype and dump process all over again.
and it's funny like i said in detail on another topic is he has said word for word what Shakezulu or the guys who supposedly have taken over ALL of that guys coins
are speaking the same way saying the same excuse(s) word for word.. such as He is experimenting and doing it for fun..
in shakezuklu's coin cloning tutorial he said he does it for "fun and profit" just like you know who..

if there is a wolf eating your sheep every night do you care if it's the same exact one as the last time your sheep got eaten ?
their whole game is to lure people into the you can't figure out who i am crap (or link them to past scam-coins) to cause diversions and deflect claims against them.
we know though.. regardless of the massive amounts of deception.. and leading people on by leaving out info on purpose etc..

so which mass cloner is he ? and does it really matter ?
well it doesn't for me because it's shit i doubt i would buy into..

but new guys may want to know though.. they may actually believe the portrayal of a legit coin "dev" who just made his first coin.
they may not say it but they lead people to believe a lot bullshit.. leading around gullible bag holders who want a profit. (who do not want the truth)
and i say would ALL of these bag holders still invest if they knew the guy had been behind 12 other clones ? many of which scams.. (more like 120 actually)

you guys realize if your caught scamming here they will post the next coin they have prepared right ?
and leave your ass's high and dry holding the bag.. cough cough Memory Coin by FreeTrade / Bitshares / PTS guy and many more  Roll Eyes
then sometimes to add insult to injury they will do what FreeTrade did and officially declare the coin dead... and end the coin
then.. buy up cheap coins then re-launch it way later and lure in guys in all over again then dump it all and kill the coin again
and YES he actually fucking did that and NONE of you cared and kissed his ass while he did it too ! ..be ashamed guys, that is pathetic.

I was told last year before OCT-2013 by one guy he had 10 coins complete and ready to upload to this forum.
Most of you newer greedy scam coin supporters here have NO clue just how bad this scammy bullshit really is.
Want me to put it into perspective ?

I have mentioned the guy who had 10 coins made before and i never have nor will i out him and say his name.
why ?
Because on a scale of how bad a coin cloner he is compared to the other greedy corrupt asshole cloners around here he is like 1% out of 100% bad
the guy is NO where near as bad as most of these other anonymous name changing coward ""fork"" posters that swirl around like vultures.

I have more respect i have said before for guys who steal Bitcoin on trades or hackers who steal coins or even malware spreaders
than i do these coin cloning pricks.. i have seen the depths of deceit, corruption and back stabbing & greed go to colossal levels i never knew people were capable of.
and the people who fumble over themslevs to support them to make a quick buck are not far behind.. you should be ashamed of yourselves.. your pathetic !

you cloners and your supporters ruined the scene bad.. no big crowd is coming and most guys have left already and it's because of you pricks !

and funny enough it was all done to cash it to Bitcoin and in the process you made Bitcoin (and ALL of us) look far worse than it/we did compared to mid-2013.
That is called shooting yourself in the foot and MY feet !
And even funnier is you cloners could have made 100x more profit easily by sticking with a coin or two and attracting heavy weight investors into crypto
instead of taking a shit all over it and chasing them away.. smart people with big money would come here and laugh and walk away instantly..
i know i almost walked away when i registered my account like a year and a half ago, i was disgusted how bad the scene was THEN
and back then compared to NOW we were all little angels Hhhahaha
Back then guys would actually avoid a new coin until it was verified and proven legit thoroughly.. unlike now where ponzi-lovers dive on it ASAP !

The crowd of brats flooded in OCT-2013.. most left but the ones that stayed were the sleaziest of them all and many of the old time Altcoiner's
stayed too to make sure to pander to the corruption machine ponzi-fest.. gotta feed your greedy lemmings with non-stop shit coins for Lambo's..

HYP ? ..pure bullshit .
The dev ? a mass coin cloner.. propped up by the people who surround him, including bag holders, exchanges and mods etc who all want a slice of the pie.
no matter how self destructive it is to ALL of us !

If you believe in crypto guys i urge you to stop supporting those corrosive toxic losers in our scene.
A bitcoin profit is nothing compared to have credibility in the scene and each guy making 100 bitcoin later.. use your brains !
and cloners.. cut the crap and quit playing stupid, the idiots are long gone.. all of us here know damn well what is going on so don't insult our intelligence  Roll Eyes

You can lead a horse to water... you must be seriously stupid if you still don't understand why this is a scam.

Devs are happy to point point out how this was just an innocent experiment for the TRK community. In fact its a massive pre-mine private ICO scam and they're brazen in their deception to ensure new people keep coming in to buy the coins they got for free.

If I did all my "research" in a "troll"box, I would think every coin is a scam, or the next Bitcoin depending on the day and trollbox activity.

Anyone who bases their purchase solely on trollbox chatter is gonna be upset, more often than not.

Anyone that didn't know that HYP was forked from TRK, and distributed the way it was, did not "research" it. All the info was right there, for all to read the whole time. It's even labeled as an "experiment" in the OP. I wish I hadn't passed over it at the beginning, I jumped on it mid september.  The HYP community is full of interesting and intelligent people. A solid, active developer, quick to answer questions, no matter how minor or major.

If you are really trying to save people from there own decisions, there are many scams out there, that are more deserving of your attention.

PRO TIP: Don't buy at the top of a pump, if your feelings are easily hurt.

(stop repeating about unfair distribution, it's ridiculous).

How is it ridiculous? Do you realize how many people are serving time in federal prisons for getting caught doing exactly what these devs are trying to get away with? (buying with insider information) This is called insider trading and it's ILLEGAL.

Thankfully a few people in this thread get it, the rest of you bagholders are fucking hopeless. No wonder you people get scammed so often.

You are slightly mistaken. Insider trading is a trading with an access to information which is not in public domain. But information about the fork was in public domain (I won't go further in building parallels, you can't operate this conception at all, but if you like, then think of the fact that devs are issuers, not investors). We are sorry that we did't send you a personal invitation Smiley

You are having way too much fun and letting your imagination run wild.

We were TRK bagholders way before any fork talk... so really this is a non-issue.

And besides that you obviously have no idea what you are talking about anyways. If I were to go buy the majority share of a penny stock company, and then use my voting power to change the companies goals... that isn't insider trading, seriously look it up. You all need to get your head out of your asses.

Honestly the more you all talk, the happier I get. It is obvious. You are developers or supporters of a shitty PoS coin that has terrible marketing. You tried really hard to clone from the latest PPC source, have a mining period, whatever. Your coin didn't catch on. I am sorry about that. Try again maybe?  HYP is doing it right. We have over 100 people in IRC constantly, we have fun games, tips flying around like nobodies business, an awesome wallet with sweet themes, an unrivaled difficulty level securing the network, an awesome list of exchanges to trade on, etc.

Its obvious why you all have to bitch. We have a following and you don't. Maybe you can learn from us?

I'm not bitching, I'm just pointing out that your coin sucks and at 750% inflation per annum you'd have to be an idiot to invest in it.

Nobody will give a shit about HYP in 6 months.
