"#agora - a novel?" is a fascinating 126-page story that follows the adventures of a young wannabe-cryptoanarchist, Bitcoin, certain illegal substances, and well... sex. Danny, the author, has agreed to offer free downloads of this eBook for 24 hours only The free-eBook promotion has ended but we now have an interview with the Author at CoinDL.onHover. Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Can't think of a better literary pairing. May I suggest a vintage Max Min album with that?

After the first page, I didn't think I was going to enjoy it. 20 pages in, I don't want to stop reading it. It kind of reminds me of Daniel Suarez's work in Daemon and Freedomtm. Hopefully it maintains the pace and fun but informative tone through the next 100.

I tried to read it, but wasn't impressed. The writer seemed to want to talk about sex and anarchy at the cost of actual literary coherence.

slightly too "educative" for my taste of an easy read. When the author invites you to follow some link twice per page, this gets kind of annoying. Instead of "on blabla.org/blabla/bla.html I found bla" I would prefer "I read bla" with a footnote that bla really exists or even more literary freedom on those references making them more exciting and an annex talking about all the actual sources. Reading the author is totally into one real thing that I don't like makes it harder to sympathize when he's into another thing I actually like Wink

Still I got to page 28 Wink

Not too bad a story. A little too obsessed with sexuality, and obviously the whole thing is some anarchist fantasy, but not bad.

I am still looking forward to some speculative fiction about life in a resource based economy.
