Payb.tc, please take a look at the summary of the chat-logs you've probably missed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101339.msg1141812#msg1141812

Sooooooooooooooo...

Pirate is going to pay everyone some meager sum directly? Or, what the fuck does this even mean?
(I need a TL;DR.) (Everyone needs a TL;DR)

Donations are welcome!

U mad?

No. I just think you are a joke.
Referral links in a sig ? what is this, a new form of panhandling ?

Good luck on the Debt Sellers paying you back what you 'purchased' from them....LMAO

You may have paid them 40%....and if they are lucky, Pirate will pay them the other 60%, leaving YOU COMPLETELY FUCKED, as he plans to pay account holders DIRECTLY.

Maybe he just plans for his lawyer to send us a nice letter explaining that there is no money and for us to contact them with our SSN so they can inform the IRS of the capital loss we have experienced.

Well, he better have a good legal team that understands the implications of fraud on a global scale. This isn't a matter of 'Scam Globally, Think Locally'....

What constitutes as a failed business in Texas with limited liabilities does not translate the same when crossing international borders.

United States Federal or State Law is a bit different than International. The USA does not dictate world law.

In any case, I hope that I am wrong, and you are right, but I am not feeling very trusting in the good of man at the moment.  I guess he doesn't need that dead-man's-switch anymore.

Pay.btc,

Will you be able to submit a list by Friday? Or will you be one of the parties that waits for Pirate to post his legal information?

I hope pay.btc is busy exporting user data at this very moment, and is thus too busy to post here.

Please help me to understand this. Is pirateat40 asking for information he would not normally have or get?

Why does he want that information? Any idea? What could he possibly plan to do with the forum and IRC names?

The only reason I can come up with is that this is just another attempt at confusing and delaying. But his asking for names raises a red flag.

Pass-through OP with 125,000 BTC account rip-off = BUMraping Prison Sentance ?

(multiple) Single 25 BTC User account(s) = Slap on the wrist and 'weekends' in jail ?

so there is still a chance for us to get our money back after all?

i wonder why pirate wants to pay the subaccounts himself and not let the operators do their jobs. or maybe he just wants to win some more time?

My guess is he wants to be able to close accounts as early as possible to stop interest from accumulating. If he had 100k BTC he could pay that out instead needing additional time to get the whole 150k .

My understanding is that an individual can hide behind home country laws. A failed business in the US, is a failed business anywhere. Why else would companies pick certain countries to set up shop in?

I am actually kind of pleased with this (as much as anybody can be pleased with a default).

If pirateat40 ends up paying anything I will actually get something - unlike the original plan payb.tc had for distributing any repayments (I had no chance with #253/373).

Pirateat40: Payments will be processed directly by Bitcoin Savings & Trust to Pirate Pass-Thru sub-accounts upon verification

Does that mean that Pirate doesn't trust PPT OPs? Is he worried that PPT OPs wouldn't pass the payment, yet blame Pirate for not paying?

Or Pirate may have been informed that some PPT OPs collected BTC more than what they really have in BTCST?
