This is seriously stalling bitcoin progress for many months, if not years. Even though I received half of my coins back (50.5/101) I'm not trusting, let alone investing any of my btc in btc related businesses again.

hmmm...
no mails or coins for me too this far...

My only pleasure is that the guys from bitcoinica/intersango even too waste huge ammounts of time to sort out some pennys from suspiciously malicious claims instead of take the bitter pill to pay what they can't proove to be malicious an restart their business on a better basis...

considering the price rally that had happend within just this period of "security investigation" they were in a better position now when they had payed whatever was claimed and start to rebuild their business on a better basis. Everybody would have been satisfied and they had gained very much trust for this painfully but straight and reliable way of managing a crisis without torturing their clients with an endless process of poor information and waiting for what ever will come.

From this point of view they burn not only their reputation... huge ammounts of money wasn't made too for these heroes of "let's do it painfully slow and reasonable"...

Maybe it's time to fix the problem with an other philosophy? I think the train is goin to run faster now maybe they won't catch it anymore by going on this way...

Do I understand this correctly that the GOX codes are being sent UNENCRYPTED through plain text e-mails?

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yes, plain text e-mails.

It's things like this that lead me to condemn these people. They're not that dumb, they just don't give a F***.

Glad to hear people are getting some coins back.  I'm still waiting on my first 50%.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Unbelievable. First I have to send all my private data unencrypted to verify@bitcoinica.com, then to bitcoinica.reimburse@gmail.com (gmail.com - seriously!? I could have created bitconica.reimburse@gmail.com, reimburse.bitcoinica@gmail.com etc. to catch all the typo emails from customers if I wanted to). And now they are sending GOX code over plain email?? After being warned by customers not to do this many times? Why are you they not showing the claim codes on the https personal claim page?

Please people do not worry, soon Patrick Donald and Genjix will receive a friendly government visit. My lawyer is telling me that Zhoutong is under age and that his patents or legal guardian can face prison and penalties, oh well. Sorry but you left me no other choice.

This is ridiculous! I didn't register that email.

The email was not sent by me.

My headers also reference riseup.net which I think genjix uses. So maybe he registered this email under your name? Why did you guys switch from verify@bitcoinica to bitcoinica.reimburse@gmail com anyway? Seems like a step down in security to me since any typo with a gmail account can end up in a typo scammers mailbox.

Anyway, keep sending MtGOX codes over plain email. Sounds like a wonderful idea to me. After all my claim is only in the 5 digits. Say what - why don't you just throw the money on the street and I come and pick it up. Sounds secure to me.

Incompetence, Negligence, Willful Ignorance, Inconsistency, It's all here folks. Oh and don't forget to tune in tomorrow for the 2 months celebration of this epic disaster.

This is crazy... What is intersangos motivation for dealing with this anyway? I wish we knew their motivation. If we did we might understand this craziness. They should know better.

Goat - you ever get anything back yet?   I am still at ZERO!!!!!!

As for motivation.. I dunno.. at this point they have to finish this to clear their name... but the longer it goes the worse it gets.. I am not sure how much face they are saving anymore, if any.
