That sounds great I can't wait to check it out, I'm not sure if you are familiar with startjoin and startcoin, I think that is a great model to go with
and it would be great to see a cataloniajoin version, a facebook/social media/crowd funding mish-mash and with your browser it would be perfect.
I myself also have a big position in Catc and I would be more than happy to give some away to people and projects.

Developers seem to have finally disappeared... Looks like they really wanted to do something, but real-life situation made its adjustments to their plans. There is still chance they could return after summer (long siesta huh...).
Meanwhile it would be great if someone could publish their nodes. I cannot sync the wallet with any of the nodes published earlier in this thread.

It used to work perfectly. And honestly this seems to be a combination, making the chain more stable. As soon as there is not enough miners due to increased diff, PoS still moves the chain; if there is not enough staking wallets, the chain can be easily moved by mining (this resolve the issue some PoS coins currently have - they are stopped with all coins either stuck in staking, or being on exchanges (FRDC for example).

Even now (when this coin seems to be abandoned) the CATC chain moves from time to time - my wallet sometimes is able to sync pretty well.

So is there any chance this coin will return..? I have few CATC coins I mined at the time, opened and synchronized my wallet lately, and found the blockchain is still alive..

Only one active connection, but it moves somehow, so someone it either mining or staking. There is no block explorer to even check this.

Does it mean someone will pickup this coin and develop at some point?

Add this line into your cataloniacoin.conf file (it should be located in the same folder where the wallet.dat is located):

Then restart the wallet. If you didn't have cataloniacoin.conf before, you have to create it. If you use Windows, and make sure it is exactly called cataloniacoin.conf (you may have to uncheck the "hide known file extensions" checkbox in Windows Explorer settings).
This should resolve the problem... Let me know if it doesn't.

Thank you very much I created the cataloniacoin.conf file in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Cataloniacoin\
added the line addnode=104.207.131.249 and it works my great wallet is now syncing again!!!

Catalonia seems to wake up again, however the same cannot be said for CataloniaCoin...

Looks like Catalans are not interested in crypto, as they just let their national coin to fade into oblivion.

Yes indeed the Catalan people really want independence but they don't seem to understand they need first
and decentralised independent currency.

Corruption and collusion with politicians and the powers that be will always be working against
the peoples interests and mostly all bought and owned by the ECB with their printer.

I thought the people of Catalonia would have been all over this coin, I hope in time they will
and just haven't fully understood crypto yet, CatC has great potential if it can get into
the hands of the people!

This was meant to be the Catalan national coin, dedicated to Catalan independence movement. I believe the devs were Catalan too, though I am not sure.
