I think the idea of gay being a problem is a part of history now. The few senior citizens who still go on about homosexuality will soon be dead. Young people do not care. They grew up with openly gay friends and will not learn to hate based on their ignorance. That is because they are not ignorant at all on the subject.

It reminds me of the people who still read the newspaper. I hear that in the newsroom they call the obituary "the subscriber list countdown." lol.

i care greatly about being *happy*.  and we must share our feelings..

It's really all we should care about. Being happy and bringing happiness to others.  Smiley

@ 1Referee

Reading my post back I feel I was too harsh in my tone, I had a rough day and that showed thru in the wording I guess.

Even if I still stand behind every word i've written, I could had done it more polite so I apologize for my tone.

Honestly, I can't wait until all the homophobic and racist people to die. This world is going to be so much greater.

Who even cares about being gay anymore?
It's about as important to me as hair color.  Huh

So you are a middle aged man who dyes their hair in rainbow colors?  Just kidding...

As the other poster said, it's a plus not a minus for Apple's image.

A minus might be for a company producing a analgesic heat rub used to relieve muscle and joint pain to hire for an advertisement some actor with first name Ben.   {pause for effect}   Ben-Gay?

There is much more to a person than their sexuality.

Are they good neighbours?
Are they good to their spouse and family?
Are they honest?

The list goes on and on.
Worrying about their gayness would be near the bottom of that list.

What you've just said is a good explanation of why Humanity does not have an indefinite lifespan("Immortal" in ways), as progress would hardly occur due to people, especially older folk, not willing to change or accept new things.

Was wondering did Apple know that before making him CEO ? Don't think this is good advertising for a company that large.
I'm wondering why you think this is bad advertising for a company that large, TBH.

What does his sexual orientation have anything to do with anything, much less the performance of his duties as CEO of Apple.

I'm happy for him that he came out finally. Apparently it was one of the longer kept "secrets" in the industry that the media never reported on because, well, it's not really a story at all IMO.

I hope he brings back the rainbow Apple logo, like they had in the good old days.
