I want to setup a small personal mining pool by the end of today.

Anybody care to post some quick hacks of instructions for pushpool or similar software?

If you're just mining solo, you can run bitcoin -server and point all your miners at your local bitcoin.

Whats the difference between bitcoin --server and compiling bitcoin as a daemon?

Could the op not use bitcoin --server as the backend of a pool?

That's not why I want to setup a mining pool.

Can anybody give me a quick setup guide for setting up pushpoold? Anybody done it before?

Are there any alternatives?

@error: some form of the Bitcoin client must be running on the pool's back-end I would assume, yes.

I'm also looking for a Windows guide to setting up pushpool, I have no idea how to set it up at all.

Betting 9000 BTC that these guys want to do it because in their mind they are doing 500$ a day on a pool model like slush/deepbit.

Or just wanna kick off with a new pool to try to stabilize the marked with almost 50 % to one pool? might be. i dunno

We already have 2-4 competing projects besides slush and DB, it's just that they are barely used(BTCMine, the swedish one, another one that was starting up iirc..).

Oddly enough, the one with the highest processing fee is the most used.
