Super secret launch eh! lol

Well im mining now but wish it would of been on the alt calendar. Smiley

I was banned for posting about our staking hardware, so we launched it on our forum. Blame mprep for biased moderating

I don't get banned for over a year arguing every day with people. Then I stop fighting, focus on work, and when we launch Offline Staking for Maieuticoin I get banned. Then we launch the Snowball Staking Hardware and I am banned again for exactly the amount of days Week 1 orders ran for. My only two bans in nearly two years come from the hand of a biased mod holding down whatever coins he doesn't like, both within a month. Both within days of launching something new for Maieuticoin

Coincidence?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Appreciate that. Even if nobody else is interested in the Snowballs outside of the BALLS and M community, I'm glad we did this project. After running a couple for several weeks now, I can honestly say I would pay the $100 for this if I wasn't involved. It's just sooo convenient knowing you are staking without having to check if a client is running. I will never go back to desktop staking again

Most likely, yes. We are currently accepting BTC and M for pre-orders, which ship December 5th, but after that it will be M only at first

Once I am confident we have a unit ready to ship with both M and BALLS staking simultaneously, we will mostly likely open up sales in BALLS as well

Do you have the BALLS to spend your BALLS!?  Wink

Also, for anyone interested...There's between 30-40 of us now in #MMXIV on Freenode IRC. We are using the same channel for BALLS. I'll send some BALLS as trivia prizes once we hit the fork. Just type !start in the channel to start her up. Don't feel bad playing alone, you are playing for prizes! Other people always join in, too

Staking starts tomorrow at noon GMT - New clients are already out, hard fork for lower, though still significant, fees to enable coin sending will go live very shortly. New clients are already out. If you haven't updated, you will no longer be able to connect to those of us who have once the fork goes live at 1414900800

They are in the OP, as well as a few posts back. Changes are in the backside with the fees. GUI remains unchanged, other than the graph will show stake weight instead of difficulty when the time comes

For anyone wondering what the fees will actually look like...

static const int64 MIN_TX_FEE = 6400000;

Keep in mind these coins use 6 digits, not 8. This number was very mathematically determined, not just a random decision. Instead of basing fees on .0001's of a coin, we use full coins. It will suck getting used to, sure, but once people see the effect it has on keeping supply within a manageable inflation rate, they will see that it is doing its job as planned. High transaction fees are destroyed by the network each time a coin is moved. We are using the highest fees (that I know of) to control it. These fees are not paid to anyone, stored safely, or anything else. They are completely obliterated from existence automatically during every transaction

   Correct me if I'm wrong.  That's 6.4 balls per transaction.   Minimum...
