Since the fall of prices vertcoin I wondered how someone could mine the VTC or other scrypt-n coin. Scrypt-n consumes a lot of electric power and I can not cover the cost of electricity although it is one of the cheapest in Europe (0.06 $). Even merged mining  VTC+Zerovert me not profitable. How is it possible that scrypt-n coins are still some miners? Is it possible that there are no secrets ASIC or FPGA and something else?Surely there is something I do not know.

It's not a secret that litecoingear has been offering n-scrypt fpga cloud mining for 3-5 months now ( http://ltcgear.com/product/tricoin-pack-m3/ ):

The product is able to mine, “out of the box”, Litecoin/Feathercoin (Scrypt), Darkcoin (X11) or Vertcoin (Scrypt-N).

Also, KNC titan miner was supposed to receive a firmware update that allowed it to mine n-scrypt ( https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-106 ):

The Titan was designed for several variants of the scrypt algorithm, including Scrypt-N. Titan's firmware is in continuous development and we'll update this space with new versions enabling new features as they become available.

Though I'm not sure how many people, if any, received a KNC titan that does.

Anyway, it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility there are other fpga miners besides ltcgear.

Personally I'm still waiting to see proof of LiteCoinGear's "magic x11 fpga/scrypt-n mod" boxes that you refer to on any blockchains.

The vertcoin community has been following this very closely. There has been verification that its him. Its legit. Its not particularly surprising if he managed to overcome issues with zerocoin. He has a connection with matthew Green, and also there was talk of implementing zerocoin in Vert back in the Spring.

He has made some very bold claims about this project. Essentially doing what no one else was able to. This immediately calls for verification of his work. Poramin is a known person, but he does not have enough "capital" to make a claim like this without it being vetted. As far as im concerned, this coin is a no go until the claims are verified independently. The pre mine just makes my opinion stand stronger as does the somewhat sloppy roll out, lack of communication, and other things.

interesting is that the difficulty of the Vert was not increased, apparently the idea of merged mining: Vertcoin + ZeroVert don't work

pools not filled with miners ..... I think that someone mining ZeroVert with ASIC because electricity costs are huge in Script-N.... expect large quantities to be dumped on the exchanges
